No parody here, Tatiana is a world-class growler and one of the best front wonmen in metal today.

All Tatiana’s voice Buddy! Though runs a delay. No parody. She sounds even better live. I’ve seen them over a dozen times. 🤘🏽🤘🏽Phenomenal Band

don't think its delay effect on her voice but sounds like a stereo doubler.

Welcome to Jinjer! I hope you continue down this rabbit hole, they have a very deep catalog of awesome and varied songs. I would recommend Perennial (Live at Wacken 2019) as good next stop!

I can’t believe people are still reacting to this for the first time. This came out a decade ago. I’ve been fortunate to see them live 3 times in Atlanta, Georgia!

Never was a fan of growls myself... until I stumbled across this little pixie Tati. There's just something about her vocals. I love her in all her many modes of singing.

Welcome to Jinjer. That's all her. Perennial live at Wacken shows her talent well.

Tool was my favorite band for many years until finding Jinjer. They are truly an amazing group on so many levels. Looking forward to you digging into their catalog a bit more. This song is just the tip of the iceberg.

Tatiana is self taught, she's a goddess. The musicians are incredible. Vlad, the drummer, is a classical pianist and he took up the drums as a hobby, how talented in that guy. Check out Perennial live at Wacken open air 2019 . It was the last song of their set and you can see what a beast Tatiana really is. Welcome to the wormhole...

Tatiana, the singer. Vlad the drummer, Roman lead guitar,and Eugene bass are even more incredible live on stage. What you hear, they sound even better live on stage. You noticed the drum. Vlad is a classically trained pianist who plays Rachmaninov by memory. He is incredible with the drums. And Tatiana’s vocal abilities go far beyond what you just heard. The band can play metal, jazz, reggae, rap, often in the same song without missing a beat and making it sound seamless.

Tatiana is a Pisces. The fishes. It’s about swimming upstream looking for light and love only to be caught and killed by handsome butchers. When the war started in Ukraine, their home, they all volunteered. They were told to continue touring and support the cause. Should have kept her. She could have won a few battles just by scaring the hell out of the enemy.😊

Great reaction! Welcome to the wonderful world of Jinjer. Tatiana is a vocal Goddess! The next song you should check out by Jinjer is Perennial live at Wacken. Followed by Teacher Teacher official video. Next Who’s gonna be one live performance. Also Vortex Judgement and Punishment one take vocal performance. Then you can’t go wrong with any other Jinjer songs. Home Back, Call me a symbol , Wallflower and the list goes on!

Good comment on the ergonomics of Vlad's drumming style. The way he sets up his kit low and flat for economy of motion. He plays open-handed, or uncrossed, for a relaxed feel. Jinjer hits the sweet spot for me. Progressive, heavy and challenging, but still melodic, nuanced, and blending multiple styles and genres seamlessly. Not too weak or too strong, as you put it. Not too hard or too soft--and yet encompassing a wide range of dynamics. Very well constructed songs, with poetry and beauty. Kinda the Goldilocks metal band! Just right!
@RichardJung-km6vm9 ай бұрын
Really love this comment because of the sweet spot comment. That’s exactly how I feel but still maintains a heaviness to the music as well.
@ericpeterson75129 ай бұрын
@@RichardJung-km6vm you might check out a band called IKINÄ from Finland. I just discovered them, and they are one of very few metal bands that hit that same sweet spot for me as Jinjer. Spiritbox hits it too. For me it needs exceptionally good clean vocals along with exceptionally good harsh vocals. And really well written songs. Give em a try! And if there's one thing better than a hot metal chick singing and screaming to killer music, it's TWO of them!
@karlbecker87759 ай бұрын
The algorithms are going to love you! You mention Tool and Jinjer in the same sentence.... ;) No effects on her voice, but there is a little post layering of the vocals in the chorus in spots. Still, the layers are just other renditions of her singing the same verse.

Tatiana is an amazing vocalist, this is a bit lighter then their usual tracks. She also writes all of the lyrics and they can get pretty deep.

Subbed to see you do more Jinjer. Old school metalhead here and my favorite bands are Iron Maiden,Tool, Dream theater, Slayer & …..Jinjer. Yes there are many but these are my top 5! Jinjer is my favorite from probably the last decade as the metal scene just became so redundant. I’m excited to see you delve into the band after the shock of Tatiana’s voice wears off. Fun reaction and keep up the good work!
@mikedown32199 ай бұрын
The song was recorded as one take but they then added additional vocal and guitar overlays afterwards.
@traylor25029 ай бұрын
Wrong. The video reveals that there were at least two takes, just watch her hands changing positions between cuts. The vocal overlays sound like different recordings, not effects on the same track. However, the vocal is pitch corrected, which is a shame because she doesn't need this.
@hemlock3999 ай бұрын
The vocals are taken from the studio track with some re-mixing, but I think that the drum track is live, while the other instruments are at least partly live. The studio track has acoustic guitar during the 3rd verse, and that's absent here. There's plenty of post-production. Jinjer is a progressive groove-metal band from Ukraine. I've been a metalhead for about 40 years, & they are the 1st growling band I've enjoyed. They single-handedly re-invigorated my interest in music after about 20 years of near-dormancy. They are all incredibly talented. There are plenty of awesome live performances (as well as official music videos, lyric videos, etc.) from this band posted on KZbin. Follow the recommendations.

I’ve seen this same comment so many times from old school metalheads! It’s the same for me as well I think they bring a throwback vibe to new refreshing metal music. I think their demographic is older than most newer metal bands which I think is funny.
@monikadeinbeck47609 ай бұрын
this is 100% Tatiana. some analysts have argued there is a level of post-production to make the sound fuller and smoother, but that's about it. a real live recording would be a bit more rough around the edges, but it's unmistakenably Tati.
@jeffwellman83479 ай бұрын
welcome to Jinjer. That is all Tatiana. To appreciate how good this band is, react to their live performance. I recommend "Perennial" live at Wacken. Interesting reaction (Subbed)

This live session was done after they replaced their old drummer who originally recorded the album version. This was done to show off Vlad’s talents, which obviously worked out since they went viral with this one.

Yes, there is doubling in the vocal track done in post production as well as pitch correction. That is really her growling though.
@cheetor10109 ай бұрын
The studio version has extra vocal layering, and was their previous drummer. The live session loses the layering to show off her voice better, and let's Vlad show off his drumming chops.

If you like drums, you're going to love Vlad. The musicianship in this band is incredible. I don't care for growling either, but Tati is special.

That's all her. She sounds even better on stage. The pedals for singers are for one man/woman band situations not really professional quality. A live session isn't a live performance. It starts with everyone in the same room playing to capture the energy of a live performance and then once the basic parts are done you can go back and add to them. In some cases replace them if it's a guitar plugged in direct. The tracks are then mixed and mastered like any other recording. Prior to the early 70s everyone did it that way because there weren't enough tracks to do it instrument by instrument. These days it's done for bands like this one who are really good live. Between this technique and recording instrument by instrument there is everything in between. Some people can play their part to a song all the way through with just a click track (like if they wrote it), others might be able to but aren't comfortable with it. In that case they might need other band members to at least play along and do what are called "scratch tracks" if not record their parts at the same time. If you want to hear more Jinjer you really can't go wrong with any of the official live Jinjer videos. There are plenty of "guy with a video camera in the audience" clips out there but all the official ones are professionally done.

The singer herself sings the song without any help or cuts or any other rubbish. There are many female singers in the world who can do that skill, for example Arch Enemy. Please watch her performance next.
