And it's hard not to just focus on Tatiana because she's so incredible but as you watch more of their videos you'll really come to appreciate just how awesome the other band members are! Reason I ask is because I love her voice, and the music is perfect during the verses, however, while I can respect her crazy talent within the chorus, I more so want a chill song. @@NoHaBi02 I think the closest you can come to what you're looking for is a song called Beggars Dance. It's a little more up tempo though. But there aren't many songs by Jinjer that are clean singing; even those are more hard rock. But Jinjer's style really grows on a lot of people who were not really fans of screaming/growling in rock. I know because I am one of those people. But if you're not a fan of metal or hard rock then this band probably isn't for you.

I love that the words after she gets done growling are "no promises I ever give, don't rely on me and I won't deceive" like she didn't trick anyone, we just assumed she'd always be sugar and spice! There's lots of editing on this, but it is 100% her. Technically it isn't her "voice" because it is done with the false cords instead of the vocal cords. And anyone can learn to do that, btw, it just take a couple of years to learn reasonably good technique, though being one of the best takes a lot longer and a degree of talent. But it is her, and this isn't even her low growls, just a bit lower than her most comfortable growls for maximum impact. She practiced the technique for 4 years, while also singing in various bands for 7 years as she was learning, then perfected her technique with another band for part of 2009 before being recruited to join Jinjer and has been with Jinjer for over a decade. I'm lucky enough to have seen them twice and she is fire on stage. They don't like genre labels but are usually considered progressive metal. Gotta do the new hot thing they released last week - Tatiana doing a one-take vocal recording of their song Judgement & Punishment. After that, my favorite song by any artist is their song Who Is Gonna Be The One official live. Then it is between Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev to see the most brutal song they've released on stage or Perennial live at Wacken Open Air to see the most beautiful. But really they have about 20 songs you gotta check out. Cheers! p.s. to see a black woman do this, check out Straight Line Stitch's song Black Veil. That band is sadly no longer together though.

You made me grin. Glad you liked it! The band is really tight, hard to notice when you're being brutalised by Tatiana (the vocalist). Yup, that's her voice. She's a natural born phenomenon. Three tracks? That's hard, there are so many. Here's some good starters: Judgement & Punishment, the one-take version is all about Tatiana, the official video version is a short horror movie. Longtime TOOL fan here. This is exactly how I found Jinjer, somehow on a sidebar and I managed to click on it. I wouldn't compare them to TOOL, but they are on my top 5 now.
