this is your first Jinjer song, and the great thing is that Jinjer released a brand new song today, after more than 2 years: "JINJER - Someone's Daughter (Official Video) | Napalm Records" I have been a musician myself for over 40 years and heard Jinjer for the first time 8 years ago, and I can only tell you that this band will go down in music history in this genre. I have been listening to different genres of music for over 50 years, but Jinjer is something very, very, very special, I promise!!!!!! You should just take a lot of time to understand this complexity of musicality including the lyrics, this band is world class... warm greetings from germany & thanx for your reaction

They are from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, part of the territory annexed by Russia in 2014. Her name is Tatiana, and yes that is all her Randy Blythe is a good call, he and Otep are 2 of her big harsh vocal influences. False fold growls, she uses the false vocal folds for the harsh. This session is a redo of an older song, done in order to showcase Vlad on drums, who had joined not long before this. He is classically trained on piano, and self taught on drums. He, Roman (guitar) and Eugene(bass) are all awesome musicians. They write the music, Tati writes most of the lyrics. Though Eugene helped on the lyrics for this one, as both he and Tatiana are Pisces. According to their site, they formed in 2009, but consider 2010 as the official start(wiki says 2008/09) when Tati and Roman joined, as none of the original members remain. They were a 5 piece until 2015, when rhythm guitarist Dmitriy Oksen (last original member) left to pursue acting, and wasn't replaced. 4 albums and a couple EP's to date, and a just released new single (Someone's Daughter) There is post production, as you can tell with the vocal layering. The usual next step for them , is to hear her do it live with either "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019, or "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiev. Also , they recently released a 'Live in LA' DVD, anything from that is great.

Well to be fair they are good live on stage too. There are a lot of good live on stage videos from them. Pit of Consciousness Live in Kyiv, Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air 2019, Who is Gonna be the One Live, Judgement and Punishment One Take Vocal are some. A live session starts out with everyone playing together in a room but it doesn't end that way. Once those tracks are recorded the song goes through the same process every other studio recording does with layers and post production. This one is a good entry point for the band but fans always then direct everyone to the live on stage videos. They are known for their live shows.
@Tonylytics

Tati is a walking talking superstar goddess. She has everything. Sings like an angel, screams like a demon, she's stunning, sassy, confident...she is a fashion icon, and she has the stage presence of a legend. And IMO Vlad is the best drummer that no one knows. I'm not an audio engineer, but I think what you were hearing was not added in post, but rather there is a backing track. When they play live there is backing tracks for all of the harmonies. So I think it's just her singing over, making a doubling of those vocals.
@TheGhostGuitars
@TheGhostGuitars 2 ай бұрын
You're correct, they're known for using backing vocals piped inline with her voice overlaid the backing. She have a danged good sense of timing so her vocals sounded like it's doubled. I initially believed that she had an echo/chorus pedal on her mike.
@rolandkarlsson7072
@rolandkarlsson7072 2 ай бұрын
You are correct. This is a well produced (semi) live take. The basis is all live, but there are post effects and even layers. But actually, she sound like this and the band sound like this, it is only "bling bling" that is added, making the result totally outstanding.

Well, you`re right, there was postproduction. A rawer experience of their talent you could see and hear in their latest interview "From Nothing" where they perform three of their newer songs: "Vortex", "Wallflower" (I guess!) and "Dead hands feel no pain" - Eh, I`m quite sure that that`s the songs but anyway. Here there are some pre-recorded parts in the background. But that only adds to their genius in my eyes because that must fit precisely - and it does! 😛🤘

It's true that when this was released (I think it was in 16 or 17, I discovered them later) there weren't many females doing this. But there's been an explosion of female harsh vocalists, almost as many as the guys. And Tatiana has a lot to do with that. And while this isn't quite raw live, rest assured she sounds like that live. I think the post production amounts to some layering and doubling. Great reaction!

Hey Tony, welcome to the world of Jinjer! As someone else mentioned, I would also recommend checking out Jinjer’s live version of Perennial at Wacken 2019…..you will NOT be disappointed! A couple other songs I would recommend are the official videos for Wallflower and Home Back. Wallflower is a very cool song relating the lead singer, Tatiana’s, struggle with being an introvert in the very public world of the music industry and Home Back is a powerful song relating how pissed off they at sociopath Putin’s invasion of their Ukrainian homeland (the song was written in 2019 about the fighting with Russian-backed separatists in their homeland of the Donetsk region in Eastern Ukraine since 2014, prior to Putin’s all-out invasion in 2022).

Give a look and listen to, ..Tina S. Take your pick of any of her covers. But, I'd suggest Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, 3rd. Movement, Or "Dragonforce's", Through the fire & the flames.

There's a channel that analyzed the recording. Yes, it was manipulated in post. Still, DAMN.

Of course, nothing wrong with post production of a live performance. The fact that she was in key, with no pitch correction (not that I could tell at least), and they played as tight as they did, is enough to make me want to see them live!

AHHhhhhh.... Welcome to the party, Y'all!!!! Jinjer is a Ukrainian Death Metal Band... the female lead Vocalist is Tianna. She is THE EPITOME of vocal range... in her type of genre. AND... the REST of the band is QUITE ACCOMPLISHED as well... with the musicianship & instrumentation. Check out their catalog of music... I'm certain that you won't regret it. Hits like "Sit, Stay, Roll Over", "I Speak Astrology", "Vortex", etc... there's FAR too many to mention. Once again... Welcome to the party.... your pulse will NEVER TRULY BE the same. MIC DROP 🎤.
