In my opinion Roman does get credit enough.. only because he's not in "kind of" spot light because doesn't do interviews means nothing.. the guy speeks English pretty well, maybe he doesn't want to.. The one guitar band makes it abvious who writes songs..

Well, this goes to shows that there is always something good about every Jinjer song even if it is not a particular favorite as in this case for me. This is badass. I also always keep in mind when I listen to these playthroughs that Tati has to come up with a melody and lyrics for these instrumental compositions. In this case, she came up with some dark lyrics to match the heavy sound of this, so I think she did a good job and I get it even though I can't relate to it. It is all very ingenious and my appreciation always grows with deeper analysis.

@@imapman1 Funny how you mention how Tatiana comes up with the melody... I was just noticing how simple and repetitive the section starting at about 2:01 sounds without her melodic vocals set over the top, which really bring the song to life.
@imapman13 жыл бұрын
@@leviathan3630 Those simple parts may be the easiest for her. Tati said in an interview the guys lay down the instrumental tracks first and then she spends a couple of weeks listening to it to come up with the melody and lyrics. I told William this song was too dark for me at first, but after hearing the guitar playthrough I began to appreciate how she was able to match the sound and the vibe of the instrumental work. After seeing the "Live At Kiev" video I completely realized how fantastic it is for Tati to use her low metal voice to deliver the scary drama and impact of this song. Before they play the song on "Alive In Melbourne" Tati says "Now it is time for darkness and negativity - yuck!" Well, it is what it is because she came up with something dark to match the sinister sound of Roman's guitar work and now I think it's fantastic.

@@ReclaimerSnake That might be the soul - and Eugene's bass work is the first to make me say "Wow I love that bass", but go back and listen to OIMACTTA before Eugene joined. The body of their music in everything we have on record from them has always been Roman's diverse and prolific riffs, even before Tati joined. That's what allows them to create songs that change constantly, always sound unique, yet are always unmistakably Jinjer. That's constantly changing guitar landscape is the foundation on which Tatiana is able to work her magic. Each time I watch this video the dramatic parts remind me so much of Randy Rhoads. Sometimes it makes me feel sad that Randy is no longer with us but it makes me happy we have guys like Roman playing like this. That guitar is very nice too. The best part for me is that they write songs that are so intricate that you can nerd out about the music when you listen to each instrument individually but when you play the song off the CD, it just sounds like a well written song. The parts flow together so well that sometimes you don't realize that there is this complicated web of music being played that is coloring the music.

Stillness stuns, wish I'd run Creeped away to the light In my head someone else Setting snares For my soul In the darkest place What was once named consciousness I'm a miniature I'm a sketch forfeiting outlines Irrelevant entity to sanity A hive for nonsense For multiple selves Resonating, but never compromising Stillness stuns, wish I'd run Creeped away to the light In my head someone else Setting snares For my soul For my soul Waiting for my mind to be pacified
