Back with another reaction to the fabulous Ukranian Band 'Jinjer' with Teacher Teacher
As I expected 'Teacher Teacher' is much more of a normal hard metal track than pisces. Once again Tatiana's growls are just simply exquisite and have a much lower tone and pitch this time around. The Band themselves were super clean and tight as usual and are just phenominal with their complex routines and the finger taps from the bassist is beautiful

I think this song is the 21st century's "Another brick in the wall" The part she says "please teacher teacher, leave us alone" is cleary a reference (and a tribute) to Pink Floyd's song. Nice reaction, btw.

The quiet breakdown (calm before the storm!) shortly after the "Brick in the Wall" reference is very much like some earlier Pink Floyd - can't place it exactly, sounds like parts of the "Animals" era and before.

Actually, the song is about people who are prejudiced and they try to teach you from the top of their experience, and they don’t consider that we have different lives. This is the actual quote form an interview with Tatiana.

I'm so glad a reaction video actually pointed out how incredible this entire band is, the bassist can seriously slap. The guitarist can shred when needed, but has some insane rifts. The drummer is phenomenal and of course Tatiana is a legend in the making. Not to mention nobody really talks about the fact that English isn't her first language but yet she can scream clearly and you can understand everything she says.

I really think we're seeing the rise of a metal legend with these guys. Tatiana keeps getting better and better (and she started out amazing), the band is just perfect... I mean, I watch a lot of reaction channels of all different genres, and I haven't seen a single one yet say that Jinjer is anything less than incredible, even if they've never given metal the time of day before in their lives. Granted, a lot of reactors praise everything they listen to, but you can tell that they aren't faking when they listen to Jinjer. Most exciting band to come around in a good while.

I confirm. :) Metal is so NOT my type of music but after hearing Jinjer I am following them. They are so unbelievable, that they soure beyond genres and just mesmerize. Another exceptional discovery I found recently is a new Napalm's gem Motanka. (also with own unique style, also from Ukraine and their video Verba is a masterpiece).

I've been into progressive rock since the late 60's, thanks to my father's eclectic tastes. Since the early 80's I've enjoyed various melodic genres of metal. Until I came across Jinjer, I didn't get growling/screaming, it didn't connect, didn't work. I still can't listen to the vocalists who just sound like they are vomiting. But now I can tell good from bad and Tatiana has opened up a whole set of genres that I couldn't appreciate before. Jinjer changed my view, educated me and made metal bigger and better for me.

Judgement & Punishment and On The Top are new tunes from their Album "Macro" that will be out Oct. 25th . You need to check those out as well as the rest of their catalog. \m/ I witnessed the awesomeness that is Jinjer last month in Austin TX. Met them as well. They are powerful , captivating , commanding and are better experienced/heard live! \m/ Jinjer live is really something to behold. IMO , we are seeing "greatness" developing in real time. Plus , they are super cool and gracious folks. Tatiana is a really sweet lady. She is a bit shy. I am too. I was nervous meeting her and I'm 53. lol I will brag for a second and say I've held her hand and had my arm around her. I gave her a Cookie Monster shirt. : ) She thanked me for the shirt and then thanked me for coming to the show. Which was sold out. Such class! \m/

"Her growls are through the floor" ....speaking of Floor....you need to react to Nightwish. Usually people start off with Ghost Love Score live at Wacken 2013 but you might really appreciate Yours is an empty hope from either the Baltic cruise or Wembley since you seem to like it pretty heavy! These 2 lead singers are just so incredible and we are lucky to be living in a time to witness all the glory 😁

Jinjer live is a bucket-list caliber experience. I saw them last night and it was so good! The worst thing I can say about the show I went to is that I could tell there were a lot of fans less experienced with metal shows, so the crowd as a whole seemed flat. Download shouldn't have that problem, lol. An interesting phenomena surrounding Jinjer is how their music can tend to seperate listeners out by musical IQ. Yours was obvious from the beginning and I appreciate it. Rock on, man!

There were 3x as many people outside the tent trying to get in to see them as there was inside the tent. As for next year they are definitely playing at Bloodstock in August. Hoping they also get booked for Download but I think it’s unlikely as bands don’t usually get booked 2 years in a row. Re-visiting all the Jinjer reactions during this lockdown, hoping everything is good with you guys, in particular your wife. Your reactions are one of my favorites out there; need to do more Jinjer tracks as you are able. Great mention that her growls have depth and range, very unique aren't they. Tatiana and Eugene are hunkered down in L.A. and did a live Q&A on Apr. 3/20 for over an hour (which I missed), but watched it the next day on their Facebook site. Quite interesting.

Hey GreyWolf! Love your reactions! Jinjer is one of my favorite bands! And a lot of the reactors who enjoy Jinjer also seem to love Nightwish, which is my absolute favorite band. Perhaps you could react to one of their songs? If so, I'd suggest Song of Myself Live from Wacken 2013 for a heavy one, or if you want something truely unique check out Ghost Love Score from Wacken 2013. I hope to see you react to some of their music!

When I first heard of Nightwish it was Ghost Love Score live from Wacken 2013 and I was so impressed that my first thought was that I just heard the best 10 minutes of music you can find on KZbin.

Welcome to the Jinjer addiction my brother. I found them at the beginning of the year and they quickly skyrocketed to the top of my list for badass bands. recently saw them in Hollywood at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go ( a small intimate club, 500 people max) and it was unbelievable. Everyone in the band is super talented and they are quickly carving their way to the top. great video. much love.

You should react to Nightwish...there are a lot of really amazing songs I would say 'Ghost Love Score' or 'Greatest Show on Earth' they are both longer songs though

Great reaction!! You definitely have a new subscriber. I got to see Jinjer a few week's ago, here in the U.S. If you can score tickets to one of their show's, you better snatch them up. The majority of their show's here have been sold out. I'm hoping the next time they tour here, that they will be playing in larger venues.

I knew you would like this one. Saw them last month in Arizona, they are amazing live. Every member is an exceptional musician, and they are the hardest working band out there. Perineal live and I speak Astronomy are good suggestions, but really I don't think they have a bad song. New album October 25th by the way.

I saw them in Atlanta, GA (USA) less than a month ago on their North America tour (with Sumo Cyco & The Browning as supporting acts). They are SO good live...it's unreal...I also can't believe I got my ticket for only $15 USD before the show sold out. If you get the chance, definitely go see a show before their ticket prices catch up to their growing popularity. They played smaller, intimate venues this time around in North America (400-1500 capacity venues from what I've seen)...but I know they play a lot of festivals abroad...I'm sure the next tour will be larger venues with much higher ticket costs.

I honestly haven't heard a bad track from them, some maybe take a couple of listens to *get it* but I'm like that with everyone haha. I'll look forward to the next one, it's a cracker and such a great performance! Top review/reaction. I love the thought and honesty you put into these videos.

@@JeffWheezingGrampusGoddard Oh yeah you're right about that. My favourite is Captain Clock, so that might give an idea of what type of Jinjer I prefer. I also really like When Two Empires Collide. Teacher, teacher is third for me cause I just love her singing in that one.

The few songs I'm not personally in love with I still see people saying those are their favorite tracks. They just don't have bad songs.
