I really like the reggae elements they have in a few songs. Tatiana can sing pretty much anything and she’s a huge reggae fan. Bob Marley is one of her favorites actually. You implied that you’ve read the lyrics. I’m curious on what your thoughts are on the lyrics of the songs you’ve heard? There are a lot of real world experiences in the lyrics. Which I know you’ve learned from many of the metal songs you’ve checked out. Thanks for the 3 videos. Hope you check out some more from Jinjer.

Holy $h!t Jinjer deep dive - I see the other videos on the side bar! \m/ For a metal band Jinjer has a fairly diverse audience. There are a few black KZbinrs' who have talked about seeing them live, and when I saw them a lot of the audience wasn't just white dudes. They also have a lot of very passionate fans in Latin America if the bootlegs of their tour there last year are any indication - a lot of the time you can barely hear Tati over the crowd singing along and screaming.

Oldschool hip-hop and metal have always been a kindred tbh. And yeah, I'm in the same boat as you man, I grew up in the 80's and 90's and I loved metal and hip-hop, but I can't be arsed with modern day hip-hop at all anymore. So many damn good bands coming about and more and more people discovering metal thanks to stuff like KZbin and Spotify. Regardless of ethnicity, there are precious few of us who listen to music this intricate, heavy & technical....sadly, given that it's excellent. The clean breakdown in this with the tasteful chords & tapped bass is *such* high quality that this is my song of the year (so far... but there's a new album due in a month or so!). All 4 of them are technically proficient, & tightAF live. I also love that her lyrics put to shame the majority out there, despite the fact that English is very much a second language for her. Tremendous. :) I totally hear what you're saying regarding the trash that the corporates are pushing out as "hiphop" these days btw (I still have original Public Enemy etc albums on cassette in a drawer somewhere). I assumed there was no real talent anymore, & had given up on rap/hiphop for over a decade until a friend played me A.K.'s GucciGang remix 18months ago, & I realised there *is* talent out there, it's just not being picked up by labels. To give yourself a taste of unsigned talent right now, I thoroughly recommend taking a look at the YooToob cypher that Crypt put together recently to show how sub-standard the XXL freshmen cypher was: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXKmd6tnhLB0gbc You'll miss a couple of YooToober in-jokes if you've not been following over the last year, but if you're not impressed, I'll give you your money back! Also. check out Locksmith's freestyle on Kay Slay back in January, & Oswin Benjamin's on Sway recently- both *killer* in different styles. ;)
