This is why she deserves to win All Stars 7. Yes, her intelligence, eloquence, and deep passion & respect for the art form that is drag are on full display in the interview. But to hear her talk about how drag queens can be essentially living herstory books for the next generation won me over. Her love & respect for the past, present, and future of drag (and dedication to education!) is just queen of all queens material. Shea Couleé brings this too. They’re my AS7 Top 2!

There are many smart queens with knowledge nd respect for drag history and more - but sadly a combination of some younger queens thinking they can get by on nothing more than looks and sass, and Drag Race wanting to create reality show storylines for specific queens, means many viewers don't get often to see that.

I love everything about this video. It's a talk on female sexuality period & the darkness yet beauty she described her icons with is very empowering. It doesn't mean that all women's icons must be dark but only that to Jinkx those are the icons she felt most identity with in the female sexuality spectrum. Before drag queens, I as a straight young female was almost embarrassed by my sexuality. Drag queens really helped me embrace female sexuality & femininity in general. I guess I look up to them for all the sexuality I suppressed growing up. They are femininity personified & put on display for the world to see & they love it. I really love it too ❤️

I loved this @JinxMonsoon! I didn't start doing drag until last year at the age of 43 and it was after my husband and I split after being together for 10 years and married for seven. And I made a list of things that I wanted to do that I've never done but always wanted to but I fear what my family would think or because I had a man in my life which I've only had to I had a long-term relationship in Dallas Texas and I have a long-term relationship where I was married. So the winter after my husband and I split I discovered RooBee Vetiver and taught myself to beat my mug. It kept me busy so I wasn't boohooing, sleeping or overthinking all the time. RooBee's a mixture of Phyllis Diller Joan Rivers, Paula Dean and the women that I grew up around Like aunts grandmothers and women at church. It was therapy for me and I've evolved since RooBees first introduction to Nashville! She is now Sister RooBee Vetiver of SemperFidelisissy with The Music City Sisters of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. That is my nun persona....my drag persona is more glamorous, gender ending and slutty in a high class hooker way, her name is sirLADY Rog-Mahal and I feel super femme-fetal Kill Bill esque when I'm out and about as her. I love those movies where the women are badass spies, with fabulous style and so deadly glamorous! I'm a former United States Marine and was stationed at Naval Submarine Base Bangor in silver dale, WA ! So, sirLADYRog-Mahal ( my boy name is Roger) Mahal makes me feel fierce, deadly, mysterious and oh so gorgeous and glamorous! I❤️drag!

She actually played Hedwig on stage at The Moore theater in Seattle during the time between filming RPDR and it being aired it was such a special performance to be able to see at the time, but now knowing how special that role is to special to her makes me even more endeared to her and that performance. RPDR might’ve made her a nationally known queen, but she was definitely already Seattle famous at that point, with all her work in the Seattle theatre scene - which is no small accomplishment in itself! Love you, Jinxie, and proud to see how far you’ve come from playing Angel in RENT way back in the day to becoming so successful and poised without ever losing your humility or sense of humor/self.
