When we tell people taweez is forbidden the common reply you will get back is why then does Allah make the jinn leave the possessed person, the answer is very simple the jinn deliberately leaves the body so that you keep wearing a taweez ( shirk ) the same way a priest cures the possessed with a cross & holy water the jinn leaves the body . The permissibility of hanging Ta’wizes is reported from many of the Companions and early Muslims (Salaf), including: Sa’id ibn al-Musayyab, Ata', Mujahid, Abd Allah ibn Amr, Ibn Sirin, Ubaydullah ibn Abd Allah ibn Umar, and others (Allah be well pleased with them all). [Al-Musannaf ibn Abi Shayba, 5.439]. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There is no harm in incantations as long as they do not include Shirk. (Sahih Muslim, no. 2200) Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his father, from his grandfather that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If any of you gets a nightmare, let him say: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah against His wrath and His punishment and the’ mischief of His slaves and from the temptations of the devils and that which they bring, Then they will not harm him.” So, Abdullah ibn Amr used to teach this supplication to his grown up children. And, he wrote it down on something and hung it on the neck of those who had not attained puberty. [Abu Dawud 3893 ,sunan tirmidhi Chapter 99, hadith 3539] أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَالْحَاكِمُ وَقَالَ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ 1.Imam al-Qurtubi says "The ta'wiz that are forbidden are those ta'wiz from the Time of Ignorance -]those which are satanic and contain an element of shirk [mantar, voodoo and magic, etc.]. The ta'wiz, which are permitted are those written with du'as evidently from Qur'an and ahadith only" [al-Qurtubi, at-Tadhkirat, chapter on 'Ta'wiz'] 2.Allama Alusi al-Hanafi says "According to Imam Malik 'It is permitted to put around the neck the ta'wiz written with the name of Allah.' Imam Baqir also stated that it is permitted to put such a ta'wiz around the neck of a child" [Ruh al-Mani, chapter 15, under Sura al-Mu'minun, verse 97] 3. Hafiz Ibn Kathir says "Amr ibn Shu'aib (may Allah be pleased with him) said that 'Rasulu'llah(may Allah bless him and grant him peace) taught my father and grandfather a du'a which we would read before going to sleep, to protect us from fear and anguish.We told our elder children to recite this du'a before going to sleep as well.But for those children who were not yet literate, we would write it and then put it around their necks" [Tafsir Ibn Kathir, under Sura al-Mu'minun, verse 97) 4. Qadi Shawkani says He too narrates the same hadith (.But for those children who were not yet literate, we would write it and then put it around their necks) under the ayah 97 of Surah Al uminun in Fath al-Qadir. 5.Sayyiduna Ali (Allah be pleased with him) says: Dua should be written and tied to the arm of the woman. You know I am very careful of these things. When my father passed away, many of my relatives instigated the practice of these tribal norms that they incorporated in his burial procedure. Astagfirullah. The problem then was I lived in another city and could not get an emergency flight back to where my father and family was. My brother who was younger than me was alone with my Dad together with our Nanny. He could not do anything because that was the first time we dealt with death first hand. My mom then was working overseas. So when my mom passed away about 2 years after our father, I made sure that I'll be around her and my family to prevent my relatives to perform these weird burial procedures. Haaaay, really we Muslims should study the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. We should remove ourselves from the practice of these tribal norms that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is a form of shirk. Astagfirullah.

If you want to bring Djinn, do incantations, Black Magic, voodoo, ouija.. but you will be sorry. Most Djinn possessions are caused by giving permission to the entities. Permission is the key. I speak from personal experiences. No invitation, no Djinn. Also, Holy Quran is a medicine against such things. Djinn possessions like Djinn rape of women and such is very rare. I have a question, I wear a jade bracelet, my mother gave it to me she believes it might protect me, but I dont believe this and I dont wear it with the intention that it will protect me. I only wear it because I find it beautiful and it was expensive and it's a gift from my mother. Am I committing shirk? I literally don't depend on it, I will get rid of it if I must, I am just not inclined to get rid of it because it was quite expensive and beautiful.

mashaa allah good inquiry. one of the best things to do is inform your mom of just how jaheel her belief is (in a kind way and with love and wisdom). second is to keep your clear head about any and all shirk. stone shirk is one of the oldest forms of shirk. ask her how can a stone protect you when it couldnt even protect itself from being taken and sold as a necklace?

bubbleteakun Islam is faith and Allah knows what is in your heart. He knows how you feel about the bracelet. Don't worry, your actions arent a reflection of your thoughts or your faith. Not that I would, but if I bowed my head to a statue as I passed it, it isn't shirk because I don't believe in the statue I believe in Allah, but bowing down might be because that statue - maybe of ghandi or whatever - is respectful to me and I bow my head out of respect to ghandi. Some people bow as prayer to statues, I bowed my head out of respect to the memory of who the man ghandi was and what he achieved etc. Or even a picture of a Hadith that is very special to you, is a better example. U do t believe in that picture and Allah knows that, despite you bowing your head to it. Does this make sense? Forget the statue part cuz I'm not even certain it makes sense cuz I'd never bow to a statue, but like it's about faith in your dhil, and not your outwardly action.

Listen to or recite surah al baqarah daily. Read you adhkar, twice a day. Say the surah yiu must before sleeping, sleep with wudhu. Say the daily dua's for example before going outside, enyering toilet and so on. Try to drink ruqiya water (basically same surah as before going to sleep. Al fatiha, the 3 qul's , ayatul kursi) and drink it daily. The same you can do to rosewater or olive oil and then whipe it all over your body, also private parts before sleeping. Pray and make dua, try to leave sins and increase good deeds. Visit a raqi (who is truthfull, some magicians hide and act like imam's and so on so look for knowledge about that. For example if they ask the name of your mother, its a sahir (magician) or if he asks you to bring something weird or wear something weird. Or when reciting he wispers) Also dont fear them! Just like us they are creation of Allah swt. When they see you are afraid they will use that against you. But if you arent afraid they are more afraid of you. Know that the plots of shaytan is weak. And everything is in the hands of Allah swt. So only ask for shifaa and peotection from him. This test could be your golden ticket to jannah and Allah knows better what is going on. These magicians and shayateen are weak. You have Allah, the king of kings. So dont fear or grieve, you are in good hands: Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak. (4:76) This is a jihad for you, you are a soldier of Allah swt. Allah gave you a status. Dont fear antthing else but Him. The lord of jahannam and jannah.
