Sorry just letting you guys know, maturity is interpreted in many ways, not only the ways you think maturity is. Maturity can be in communication, maturity in dealing with emotions, maturity in when to have fun. So in the end everyone is matured in certain parts of your life. You can be 70 years old and still be immature in other parts of your life. That’s my definition in maturity

Woot woots! Thank you for listening guys! You guys are the bomb-diggity! I personally think too big of an age gap makes it tough for the partners to communicate and relate in general because of the different stages of life they may be in but of course, there are couples who've managed to work it out! And yes, it heavily depends on the maturity of each individual as well! Having said that, Phoebe is 3 days older than I am! HAHAHA!

itsbrandonho hi Brandon! My friend and I talked about maturity. I think it depends on how the individual define maturity. Like even in college and university, some of them are still kiddy in mind, it’s cute in terms of personality but when it comes to mentality, not that much. When I’m around with anyone who is younger than me, I try to be “mature” in some sort of way but with my seniors, I feel “secure”

Just to say my husband was 17 years older than me and we were together for 25 fantastic years until he passed away . Personally, I find your discussion somewhat shallow .

Age gap matters or not, it will depend on the individual. I have 7yrs age gap with my fiancé (he's same age as my sis 😂) but we can connect just good. Though sometimes we had argument, but somehow we managed to settle it 😂 Love listening the banter on this topic!! Thanks for sharing another meaningful discussion!!

older doesn't mean more mature ive once dated a guy who is 6 years older, but nah he's nothing but childish lolol , and i was 27, he was 33 that time i was thinking to settle down after 1-2 years of dating, and he gamble all his savings away =_= which is really irresponsible age gap is not the most important thing, its more like if you both are having the same life value onot

Bro. All of us need to grow up. If you enlarge your circle of friends, then you will know how wide the experiences from other people. The talk confined to only opinions of 3 people. I am of the opinion Brandon has a wider perspective of life & more accommodating. Why not invite people from outside to share their personal experiences. I think money can have a role in an age gap relationship. We live in a practical world with pragmatic solutions. And the founder of a Dating Firm linking wealthy and usually much older people ha said that justvas a good looking person flaunts his/het looks or a muscle man ditto, why can't an older person with means flaunt his wealth with a young person in search of love because in this Founder's opinion, dating is superficial. So long as 2 persons can gel together througj whatever means of attraction, love can develop. Unless you are a cynic or one with traditional thinking etc. Sometimes society should just take a back seat and let people live!

It is a good topic. My opinion, Jin, you may have lost the plot someway into the topic. It is Brandon who held the discussion well & kept it within the topic. Shu Fay added some pretty good comments. At the end of the day, the choice is between 2 persons. If both can work it out, what's the issue for you? In an Asian society, we have too many encumbrances. I believe that if we can break out of this mould, the sooner the better. Watch Wongfu Productions episodes and you can see the difference in how we and they think.

I've been out with a guy who is 13 years my senior but he was hardcore childish who likes to waste money and is a real mummy's boy, btw. I was 22 back then. In the end a few years back, I literally dumped him for many other reasons besides the two I just mentioned.

take your age divide 2 add 7 , that a fomula for it . 30 divide 2 = 15 , 15 + 7 =22 therefore 22 is the youngest

if love is about compromising, then it is who do you want to compromise the most with. This i think answers the question of age gap backlashes. Effective communication and comprehension would be a good model for every relationship.
@nozomioishi19955 жыл бұрын
Have to disagree with Jin and agree with Brandon. Age does NOT equal maturity. Experience does. It's just that the older you are, the more likely you are to have more/ various experiences that make you mature. Take for example a 35-year-old who has always stayed with his/ her parents in the same country and has never had to look after themselves. On the other hand, we have a 24-year-old who has lived in various different countries by themselves and was forced to be independent. Who is more mature?

Age gap is not a problem, depend on what age u r now. If u are 15 and ur partner is 27 then would be a it hard. But let said 28 and 40 I think it would b ok. Coz 28 female mind set is more mature then male, tat y female prefer older male. Any nice show, keep it up

Exactly @itsBrandonho, I agree with you on maturing cuz its base on our experience not on age.... I would range 1-2 years Also yes there are facts but regardless of Wat ur age is use wisdom

I totally agree with the guy who wore the shirt "AMSTERDAM". The way you think is vital in maturity level. The way you react is vital. Maturity comes from many forms of experience, and yes, as you grow older you seek many opportunity which is a form of experience. For example, the very first time I went clubbing was at the age of 18, i went PLAY rooftop. I was having a lot of fun, making friends at there. It was very fun and i loved being close with my friends. But the crucial part in maturity level is whether you can think and make the rational decision on choosing between "do I still want to continue this life" or "since i have many friends, im always available to clubbing". Of course, clubbing is a bad thing to the public's eyes but before you follow the crowd, you should ask yourself whether the clubbing life is right for you? "am i doing something i truly want in life?". Furthermore, not just blindly follow the crowd and agree to what the public said. Maturity level is you able to be making decision for yourself. The popular saying goes if you think you can or you can't, you're right by Henry Ford.

now i know jin is damn old school... i am 37 and not married but hv been thought to be 28 as recently as 2 mths ago because of how i carry myself and also my approach to life e.g. i take latin dance lessons while at the same time attend kpop dance classes, i also love attending concerts and comedy shows, stuff jin probably associate with a late 20s person. ive done all of it b4, but i still do it.. so does it matter that i am dating a 26yr old that has the same outlook in life with the same interests as me? i dont plan to marry for another 2-3yrs and that suits her well too.. i hang out with her frens just as well as i hang out with her boss which is of my age... i also hv friends my age who are in a similar stage of life (older but not married) and get along well with her...and no one is suffering unlike what is described here

Personally, age gap does matter cos it can make or break a relationship, and this is when maturity comes into play. I personally know 2 couples (my friends) who have a 5-year age gap with their partners; one couple consists of a girl dating a guy who’s 5yrs older while the other couple consists of a girl dating a guy who’s 5yrs younger. Both relationships are going well so far cos of the maturity both parties have and what they bring to the table despite their 5-year age gap. That being said, I think maturity is key to a balanced relationship in terms of being in the same wavelength as well as going thru things and experiencing new things together. Another great podcast btw! Much love for you and the team. ♥️

Maturity can be affect by age but experiences also Actually I'm more to those age bigger than me because now I haven't saw any boys younger than me or same age with me was mature. Yet I'm still believe that there will be someone mature and which is younger than me hahahah! By the way because of my age now I think that majority of girls will be like me

i have 1 story, my teacher is 51 years old, and she married to her ex student that age 27 years old. I can see a generation gap here hahha, Jin is more traditional, close minded in this issue and what Jin is trying to say is “Age is definitely not a number” in relationships. Brandon and shu Fay’s mindset are more accepting to big age gaps and there’s possibilities that it could work. Two different generation

Hi. I like your videos and watch it all the time. What I write below is what I think should do because it's a potential area for everyone to understand what happens in Malaysia. I have been working with kids ranging 6-15 and also have a Master's degree. I just want to tell mention that age is not a good predictor of maturity. And 3 person opinion and experience is not professional and valid and reliable. I would like to suggest you guys to do a poll just to get an understanding of your listeners and viewers age and experience. Then you can say that what you guys assume is 'maybe' valid. You can use the statistics to support your topics, not based on your assumptions. Not only in the comments...and it's better, publish it and earn that professionalism.
