For the chicken marinade: viungo vya kuku
28 oz (800g) boneless and skinless chicken thighs or breasts cut into bite-sized pieces/ kuku 1kg isiyo na migupa (kidari)
1/2 cup plain yogurt/ mtindi
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic/saumu
1 tablespoon minced ginger (or finely grated)/ tangawizi
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric/manjano
1 teaspoon ground cumin/ binzari nyembamba
1 teaspoon red chili powder/pili pili ya unga
1 teaspoon of salt/chumvi
For the sauce :
1 medium onion/ kitunguu
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic/saumu
1 tablespoon minced ginger (or finely grated)/tangawizi
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric/manjano
1 teaspoon ground cumin/binzari nyembamba
1 teaspoon red chili powder/pili pili ya unga
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup cashews nuts/ korosho
1/2 cooking cream/ cream ya kupikia
For Naan
3 cups all-purpose flour/ unga wa ngano
1/2 cup plain yogurt/ mtindi
1/4 cup warm water(may need more)/ maji
2 tablespoons oil /mafuta
2 teaspoons sugar/ sukari
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)/ chumvi
1 1/2 teaspoon yeast/ hamira
For Toppings
2 teaspoon spaprika
3 tablespoons melted butter
3 to 4 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped finely/ giligilani
