something i LOVE about furry avatars is the amount of jiggle they have in their models, and im not reffering to the chest, im reffering to things like the ears, fur, tail, even the face sometimes. its so awesome to see these especially with a cartoonish appearance, makes the character feel way more alive and vibrant

I'm heavily considering just going XR Elite just to stick with Vive but it very tuff choice if simply Quest Pro has eye brow tracking and Elite doesn't? Like what are each thing able to track or not track that what I'm really trying to figure out here. XD

@@RaccoonRezillo quest pro can puff the cheeks, but not individually, always both. Both vive face tracker and XR Elite can track left/right cheek puff.

@@RaccoonRezillo it’s a really hard choice, overall quest pro is a much better headset, quality and usability wise. Xr elite is getting better with time, but it’s still not there in my opinion, but it’s receiving some improvements, also yes, it does not track eye brows and also is pretty weird in regard to eye openness.

It sad hearing too many loss of quality on XR Elite that making me heavily consider going Quest Pro even though I always been sticking with Vive and I liked how it just natively worked on Steam but if Quest runs just fine on PC to Steam then fine, they sound like just have the better product XD

Heya, I would like to ask how you would rank the Quest Pro, Pico 4, and Vive XR Elite from least to greatest? I’m thinking of investing in a good facial tracking and would love your opinion!

Well, I wouldn't rank, since they all have good/bad stuff in it. Quest Pro - Safest solution. Just works out of the box and has multiple ways to use its facetracking. This is the one I would recommend to anyone that just wants something that works. Vive XR Elite - Most expensive option and has a list of problems, it's really uncomfortable out of the box, also has really weird FoV. But at the same time it's quite easy to mod it to make it comfortable. Potentially this will be the best face tracking in the future if Vive Improves its eye tracking. Pico 4 Pro - It's the cheapest option, It still feels like you are using a VR headset and it's quite comfortable. It eye tracking is ok, works the same as a quest pro. But the Lip tracking is quite bad. That's the reason why we use it Vive Face Tracker (Which isn't sold anymore, gotta find a used one for twice the price)

Ngl when you showed the comparison i found it hard to tell any differences so i just figured id inquire XD but since you own all three i trust when you say quest pro is the safest bet, so I’ll look more into it. Though your videos were super helpful in showcasing furry avatars with the different tracking and also just good resolution/quality too. I always look forward to your uploads,, keep it up !! :0

Is there an eye smoothing parameter for the eye jittering seen on the Vive XR?

There is a local parameter to control eye smoothness, but it doesn't solve the issue completely, and also increases the latency. The issue happens when the headset shift a bit and vive software tries to recalibrate on the fly. The biggest issue is that any subtle movement the eye tracking gets jittery, and also it's quite hard to have the headset really fixed with their default mounting solution.
