How to Configure TP Link Router as Repeater - Reliance Jio

Watch this video to configure your TP link router as repeater.
Follow the below mentioned procedure to easily set your TP Link Router as repeater -
1.Place your TP Link router at a suitable place
2.Plug in the power adaptor that came along with device
3.Turn on the repeater with the power button which you will find at the back of the device
4.Get your smartphone and connect it to the TP link Wi-Fi network using the password printed at the back of the device
5.Go to the browser and go to the URL - tplinkwifi.net and press enter to go
6.Post login change the password to a new password
7.After the password is changed successfully re-login with the new password
8.Click on the ‘Operation mode’ and check if it is in ‘Access point mode’. Change it to the ‘Range Extender Repeater Mode’ and click on Save
9.After the above changes the device will reboot. You need to click on Yes to proceed
10.After you restart the router again go to the tplinkwifi.net address in your browser
11.If you have Jio Home gateway JCO500 or JCO300 go to the wireless settings tab, select Connect to network option, select the 5GHz band and click on Scan
12.If you have Jio Home gateway JCO110 go to the wireless settings tab, select Connect to network option, select the 2GHz band and click on scan.
13. After the scan multiple Wi-Fi names will appear, you need to select the JioFiber home gateway wi-fi name.
14. Select the network based on your Jio Home gateway. Select the following -
a.Security - WPA/WPA2
b.Version -WPA2PSK
c.Encryption - AES
15. Enter the valid password to proceed and click on save
16. Change the Wi-Fi names same as your Jio Home gateway and click on Save
This way you can configure your TP-link router as a repeater.

I am user of jio and bsnl both ,bsnl speed is always little more than promised and wifi range is also very nice even my brothers house having distance of 50 feet is easily connected ,however jio is so hopeless operator that ground floor to first floor connectivity is problematic . BSNL have one problem ,that once it is down to any break in cable , repairs are delayed , otherwise it is fine .

@@Jsraeh if you are using a router as a range extender after setting it up properly it can't be connected through ethernet cable from main router. However the other 4 ethernet ports in the secondary router will work as usual.

Hi Jio Team... I have jio-fiber at home, so after watching this video I brought tp-link archer c20 dual-band as an extender, however when I configured it I noticed that the speed was outstanding, speedtest scores 70-100 mbps on 2.4ghz and 90 around on 5.0ghz, however after few hours the speed drops to 50, 40, 30 mbps like that, there is no consistency with the extender speed.. And I reset the router and configured it again, just within a few min the speed back to 80+ mpbs. And it is very annoying to reset the router every day or frequently to get the right speed, is there a solution for this problem?

Problem is not with the router or network, it's with wireless network interference with other wireless devices. Strictly use Lan cable for connecting repeater with router. Thank me later.

When a wifi is used in extender mode the speed os automatically halved as the same bandwidth is used for upload and download (between the router and the extender). If you need same speed in the extended wireless network the only option is mesh network. Unfortunately JIO routers do not support mesh network.

I have the same router and the experience of repeating wirelessly is not good. Access point mode only supports wired connection from uplink router. For wireless repeating go to settings and select system parameters there you can enable wds on either 2.4or 5ghz band. For some reason 5ghz jio router network stopping showing in available networks after a week. So am planning to get a cable instead now.

Yes, I did it, brought tp-link archer c20, and used it as an extender. The actual speed jio-fiber for 2.4ghz is 40mbps max, however with the tp-link wifi extender the speed is showing 80+mbps for 2.4ghz which is amazing, however, the next day, the speed reduced to 30-50 Mbps like that... which is annoying, If I reset the router and do the setup again then instantly the speed is getting back to 80+ mbps.
