Both guys are class acts plus this fight has a very primal energy to it. Like this fight should have happened 1000 years ago between a samurai and an Aztec warrior. I wanna say Alex will find the left hand by 2nd or 3rd round but with Jiri anything can and will happen! Assuming his shoulder is at full health Im expecting a war no matter who wins

i think jiri will be very careful standing with alex p, and i also think alex p showed good defensive grappling in hes last fight and i dont think jiri is a better grappler/wrestler than jan.

Alex has improved a lot on the ground since his UFC debut. He looked solid in the grappling department against Jan. I think Jiri’s best chance is on the feet, ironically. He’s got that crazy unpredictable style than can KO a guy from outta nowhere.

i don’t see how khamzat would ever get passed even ankalaev, let alone jiri. the size difference is massive, khamzat would have to take 2-3 years off to put on the size required to even fight at 205.

I've always been curious about Jiri's training. He does train mma but spends a ton of time doing crazy things like training in the forest and living like a samurai. Kinda like Tony Ferguson. Do you think this has affected his grow as an athlete as he's not "that" focused?

you cant train 24/7. He also has a fully equipped gym in that forest, so he is not far from the gym in those videos where he is not training in the forest. It is not incorrect training, believe me he is doing everything he needs to do.

Always thought Jiri is one of those who could cause Chimaev serious trouble, I dare to say even on the ground in certain situations. His heart, reach, striking power as well as ability to eat a lot and survive the storm, recover, and adjust give him the edge particularly in crucial situations where exhaustion, pain or panic chime in. He always gets back. His creative and unorthodox side adds to the whole package as well in my opinion.

Jiri never tries to hurt his sparrings. He uses liek 15% of power during sparrings recording to his old sparring because no one would spar with him otherways..... - He sparred with Khamzat when Khamzat was unknown 77KG fighter. Jiri just played games and Khamzat went all in, cracked Jiri rib by round kick....but thats not end of story. Jiri fucked him up afterwards for it.... - BTW Khamzat did same to Martínek - another Czech fighter (HW) - KSW - Martinek went for fun sparring with "little guy" and Khamzat went all in and crazy. He changed his mind when Martinek started throw overhands and highkicks... :D

I can't remember the wording, but that it was angsty or something. Did he propose and then yeah... nah... wrong way go back!? The loss of his locks a penance or a new beginning? I'd love the journalist who dips a toe in the water. How about, "Oh, a professional or personal promise?" Jiri is implacable. He doesn't say anything he doesn't want to say, and he'd either elaborate or say, "I don't vant to talk about dat". Okay. But he seemed like he didn't mind talking about it. The best. He has everything needed to be the best, the undisputed best.

Shoulders injuries take a lot of time to recover from. There's a lot of instability around those muscles. I've personally got long-term issues with my left scapula and my right shoulder took ages to heal after a Jiu Jitsu injury
