i think "flow juggler": only exists in the US. In Europe, we have numbers juggling(focus on siteswaps), theatrical juggling(focus on the drama and the role), organic juggling (focus on body movement) those are not different type sof juggling for us, but different approaches to (or at least in my opinion). they can exist alone or together as a mix of various proportions. Its juggling. Honestly, i dont like the term flow anymore cause people have misused it so much,. the flow state is such a rare occasion, and when people just pick up props and spin they say they be flowing (no you aint, unless you really go into the state of mind, which again is quite rare). There was already spinners vs jugglers thingy, and i fear it will happen again sadly.

Hey dude nice conversation. I watched this last night and have been thinking about the point you made about using less objects and finding out the ways they can make your body move around them. Been thinking about it all day. Good stuff bro
@jitpunkia2 жыл бұрын
Yea I suppose thats the french or flow way. Exploring how we move with the object and not go against it, follow the drops and momentum. To me, its really beautiful and just sorta lazily juggling and following the physics of the objects

Anyone found the link to Mikel Ayala's performance that is mentioned in this video? I am not finding it in searches but it looks amazing.

Unfortunately there is no full public video of his work online. He prefers to keep it that way.

CATCHY title. 8^]. It is interesting that the American juggling scene is focused on traditional passing, in general, also it is heavily male dominated; I think of this scene as “rigid.” The American flow scene doesn’t have ‘traditional’ anything, and it is about an even mix of male-to-female ratio, which gives it that fluidity / flow that you and I enjoy. I think that’s why the American juggling scene has the urge to define and comment on your “F Juggling” style; it’s different and we enjoy that. Keep the F Juggling alive, my friend!
@jitpunkia2 жыл бұрын
In Europe it’s also dominated by white male. It’s also heavily traditional there as well, there’s just pockets of variation. And maybe it’s more diverse and it’s easier to travel cross country. As in America it’s less of all those things.

F (for flow or French) to identity particular style of juggling he does for which he does not have a name for at 8;30+ I use F this & F that entirely differently. He is a contented and highly talented juggler. Audio for me of many KZbin videos is terrible. I could not understand this video before. The captioning added since makes it understandable.
