In the start of the video, they say paraphrased "We love Europe so much because you can be in snowy mountains or at the oceanside in two and a half hours" oh that's actually a characteristic of Slovenia itself. Such a tiny little strip of land on the planet yet we have almost it all, diversity like you rarely see anywhere else this close together. I'm slovenian myself, trust me it's what we were taught in like elementary school. We've got planes of fields, many picturesque mountainsides, sea cities, modern cities, rural areas, most of it is forests (think 75% of it, don't take me for my word tho).. we have waterfalls, unique caves, oh I could go on and on and on. If you need a genius location to visit, yeah? Slovenia is definitely a top contender and we love and respect foreigners, most practically look up to you guys. We're small with a strong dream to be more, which is why we admire the large world around us. Now google up Goran Dragić, Tina Maze, Anže Kopitar, Martin Strel for proof of what I'm talking about - small people that achieved the top of the world. Also fun fact, guess where Donald Trump's lovely wife Melania originates from? On top of all that there's no real danger in the nature in terms of wild animals; like there's only 2 poisonous snakes, the worst that could happen to you camping out in the wild would be a cat scratching you. A dog that ran away will likely be docile and like you right away; we're very connected with nature.

Old Colorado hippie girl here. I lived in the mountains about an hours drive from Denver when I was in my 20’s to early 30’s. For the first couple of those years we lived in a 500 square foot cabin with wood burning stove for heat, even the oven was wood burning. No running water, but we lived along side of a creek. We had 5 gallon tanks that we filled with drinking water in town. Watching you in winter brought back so many memories of getting stuck in the snow and mud in my VW van. I look back on it now and think what a great experience. Couldn’t do it now…Enjoy it all while you are young. Your memories will always be with you. Thanks for sharing your adventures. 😊

Adam- How I started to get over my fear of heights was by bouldering in a local rock climbing gym. So I hate heights and my boyfriend has started a passion for rock climbing... He enjoys going with me but I panic every time. One tip: as soon as you start panicking and wanting to go down, sit there and BE SCARED and just breath. And wait until you calm down a bit... And go one more foot up. Don't panic and ask to come down - just breath and sit where you are until you calm down a bit. Sometimes I have to do the same wall 2-3 times before I get all the way up but it is worth it once you conquer the fear ☺️

Adam, I totally understand your fear of falling! I also share this fear, but have somehow managed to push through it. My best advice is just keep trying. The more you look that fear in the face and say, thank you for trying to protect me but I am safe, and then prove with actions that that is true… the less that fear screams at you when you’re in those situations 🙏 so yeah, I would say exposure is your best friend in overcoming it. Also, in the actual moment of panic and your bodies fight or flight taking over, your breath is your best friend. When you feel your body panicking, if you take a few moments to simply breathe deeply, it really changes the entire energy of the moment 🙏 I hope you can keep pushing through! It’s really amazing what our bodies can do! 🥰

Adam, regarding your fear of heights. I don't have that particular problem, but I'm frightfully claustrophobic. Same symptoms as you experience, but when I get into tight spaces (or large crowds). A few years ago I decided to face my fear. Because of mental health issues I had started to meditate and thought that it might help me with my claustrophobia too. We visited the coal mine at the Big Pit National Coal Museum in Blaenavon/South Wales and I actually went down into the mine. There was one time when I felt an overwhelming sense of panic and almost dug myself through the dozens of meters of rock to the surface with my bare fingernails, but my meditation helped me to get even through that. It was an amazing experience. All the best and give my love to Tania! 🙏🏽😌

Hello Jens, that’s amazing to hear! I can imagine myself getting claustrophobic too! I’ve never been anywhere bad enough to make me panic, but I can imagine it happening! Meditation sounds like a really good idea, so good to know that it helped you! Meditation is something I’ve really wanted to make a habit of, I’ve tried it but I can’t seem to keep it up. I think I just need to make more of an effort, I really do value meditating and when I do it I feel great! Thanks for putting the idea into me head!! Adam 😊

The scenery was unbelievable. What a very pretty counrtry I suffer from vertigo! I can't even climb a pair of step ladders without feeling wobbly. Even crossing a main road by bridge is a test. I have to walk in the middle of the bridge and concentrate on something in the distance, not taking my eyes off it until I've crossed the bridge. I should go and try diving one day, to test my braveness 😎 Anyway, big hugs to you from Switzerland! Adam, try not to feel bad about your fear of height. It would take a lot of therapy work to get near to being over it. That would require successive approximation work, with you accommodating to various heights gradually to feel safe. I tried it, culminating in three sky diving trips, and I'm still not over it. Like you, I can fly, drive across high bridges inside of a vehicle, but if I do mountain riding on a motorcycle....there it is again. For me, it's being out side, near a cliff or some type of overhang where I can look down, and the jitters begin. Thankfully, I don't encounter such places often, or I figure out ways around them. It's not an easy thing to kick. Fortunately, Tania is a supportive companion, which helps a great deal to ease the pain of it.

Something which as a Swiss I find very annoying is that most freetime activities (cable car, CLIMBING A FROZEN WATERFALL etc.) in Europe which are like over 50 euros are considered as cheap in every single country but like as soon as it's in Switzerland, it's considered expensive all of a sudden. But idk the first things people say about Switzerland is that it's beautiful and expensive but in my opinion you get higher quality and more safety for what you pay than in any other place on earth. What do you guys think about that? Anyway this was a great video and Slovenia looks stunning and is overlooked by too many people

Thanks for your gorgeous winter series. Lake Bled and the Triglav NP are wonderful, indeed. Was there in summer with a scooter and would have loved to hike. Maybe next time, Slovenia is not too far away from Bavaria. So many countries & cultures in tiny Europe! I understand that your were freezing to the bone. Get some money and off the Costa Rica. Enjoy the tropical heat. Günter from Nürnberg/Germany

I live in Radovljica near Bled, I did also climbed this frozen waterfall, becouse my dad is an Iternational Mountain guide, but I also know Grega Kofler who was your guide. And I prefer summer living in van.

Right with you on the fear of heights. As I get older my stomach sinks and go weak just seeing certain videos and feel like I’m there. Beautiful place though! Thanks for letting us join you.

Wonderful to see Slovenia again - and in a different season! Adam - you can definitely sort your fear. I went to hypnotherapy to sort out my fear so I could enjoy climbing Triglav ( the highest mountain in Slovenia) We had a guide and my experience was just amazing - an awareness but no fear - and it has continued in back country skiing and other ' exposure' sports. Try it! We love your footage and have followed you discreetly since Ireland - thank you for all your fabulous footage. Our travels start this year in earnest - can't wait!

I have been a nomad and I like winter better . It's harder but no crowds hardly no people. It's so quiet and beautiful. I'm Canadian so I know how to dress warm . I stay in more dry cold not moist cold .. makes a bug difference... but iv been on crown land -40 C .... I own a home to and choose to be out there . Was in a RV then . Got a bus last spring was in it till Oct . Spose to be working on it this winter but haven't been 😬
