I will be traveling with a dear friend of mine, Melissa, whom I first met on a trip to Lanzhou, China, in 2017. We've been close friends ever since and have decided to embark on a five-day journey together, exploring the charming towns and villages along the English-Scottish border.
Our trip began in Wooler, a quaint market town in Northumberland, Northeast England, just on the edge of Scotland. We stayed at the Black Bull Inn, a cozy pub that offered accommodations for £70 per night, including breakfast. Refreshed and ready, we set out for a day of exploration and hill walking to take in the stunning landscapes.

In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveller and KZbin creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveller, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on KZbin, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on KZbin.

I really like that you are not just going for the 'in-spots', which are on everyone's bucket list... I never heard of Wooler before, and even the name feels ordinary and traditional, obviously about wool production & products... 🐑😄🏡

Years ago ( 1996 ? ) I had to Drive to Inverness from Southern England . I shared the driving with someone else and we could claim the fuel allowance on expenses ! We worked out there was a shorter route ( The old A1 / Great North Road ? ) leaving the A1but still going the south to north ,but we could still claim the mileage via the A1 and pocket the extra cash ! The road was narrow and windy as I remember , but the country side was stunning and amazing with some lovely towns and villages passed through ! The only Town I remember passing through was Coldstream ! Always wanted to go back and explore the area a bit more but never did !

田舎っていいですね。私も田舎に住んでいますが、スコットランドのようにキレイではありません。たまに出かけると、何となく、ショップに入るのですが、買うのはみんないつも同じもの。そんなに物はありません。水はきれいです。春になると桜がたくさん咲いて、遠くから人がたくさん見に来ます。イギリスは遠いですが、一回でいいからまだ行ったことがないので行ってみたいと思いました。

Could be wrong but that pit at 6mins could be an old WW2 Royal Observer Corps location well maintained, only 5miles from coast on a high location and view to the East (direction of German attack)

It is more likely to be a shooting Butt, these appear on many of the moorlands. They provide a hide for the guns when shooting grouse.

the place where you have coffee at 6:20 is a shooting but. The moorland is used to raise grouse, a medium sized, tasty bird. The strips of burnt heather you can see on the wide shots provide the ideal habitat for the birds. When the birds have finished raising their chicks, a line of people walk across the hill side making as much noise as possible and beating the heather (they're called beaters). This drives the grouse towards the line of hunters. They shelter in these buts so they don't startle the grouse too early. As the line of beaters approach, the birds fly up the hunters stand up and shoot the birds. Selling hunting days is one of the major ways these upland estates make money. PS when climbing over a gate climb over at the hinge end, it places less strain on the gate
