You shouldn’t grab or be allowed to grab clothing in No-Gi. You wouldn’t grab rash guard when it’s possible to. That’s wild thinking.

A rash guard is what your partner should be wearing in no gi. If he is wearing a winter jacket would you grab it? I am a wild and crazy guy. ;)

There's no advantage for wearing gi pants. Any friction had by the wearer is also afforded to the other person wearing shorts. If you're wearing shorts while the other guy has gi pants on, the guy in shorts now has friction on his side as well. I tell people who grab my gi pants in no-gi that I'll grab on your shorts if you insist on grabbing on my gi pants.

I totally disagree. Eddy Bravo wears pants in no-gi for an advantage. If you grab someone's shorts in no-gi that is the partner I avoid.

This is very unpleasant to watch. You as a higher belt should either risk and open more to let him work and show some moves or go for more activity! For people watching is really boring, nothing or little happen
