Eli, I hit that head and arm guillotine 3:33 yesterday 3 times. Once locking it in the standing position then finishing after bringing my training partner to the floor, once from bottom half-guard, and lastly in a scramble. It’s very effective. Thanks!

I'm planning on traveling three hours every few days to train at a no gi bjj club. I've been training in an mma club for a year now, and boxing for a good 6 months and I love my local gym since their standup is amazing and they're working on wrestling, but I know how amazing bjj is and I want to train at a specialist gym as well as a general one. Basically, I'm a spak.

any advice on cleanly finishing the Peruvian necktie? I can't seem to get a tap from blood choke, just taps from cranking which is obviously not ideal.
@KnightJiuJitsu6 жыл бұрын
I generally fine that for me an S-grip works best. Many people use a Gable or guillotine grip, but that is lower percentage for me personally. Experiment with grip changes, adjust the angle when you throw the first leg over. These things might not fix it, but they may help. Let me know how it goes!

Nice video as always. One question: anaconda and darce are surely blood chokes. But the guillotines and peruvian are also blood chokes or are they air chokes? Or mixed? I ask because I am focused just on self defense applications. I will not recieve taps. I like to put someone to sleep to end a fight but not surely breaking a trachea... Thanks
@KnightJiuJitsu6 жыл бұрын
Typically guillotines and neckties are more trachea than blood but definitely a combo and if done well will put someone to sleep with no damage to the trachea. Not sure what you mean that you “won’t receive taps” though...
@criostasi6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for explanation and sorry for bad English. I wanted to say that in a self defense situation usually your opponent do not tap to chokes. So if it sleeps is ok, if it has a broken trachea maybe is not...
