I had a friend who was a boxer. Je was amateur, but he had a lot more experience than me. I'm not even an official wrestler, but I've always been good on the ground. He always thought he could keep me away with his fists. One day, I challenged him, and he stood no chance. I closed the gap. Took a few light punches to the shoulders and back, but he was in a tight spot within a few seconds. Later, he asked me to teach him some groundwork in return for some striking knowledge. I obliged. Although I'm no expert, I feel comfortable in a fight. Grappling/wrestling is the way to go, but know how to punch and kick.
@qweee39133 ай бұрын
I have to disagree, about a year ago I did not know any grappling at all but I knew plenty of kickboxing, I challenged a guy to sparring who was very good at BJJ but knew almost no striking. We sparred a few rounds, each round he'd look for a take down, which I expected, so I kept throwing kicks and jabs to keep him at range, even when he did get ahold of me, he wasn't really expected for me to keep throwing elbows and punches instead of grappling with him, eventually though he took me down and at that point it was very easy for him to get a submission. But that was after a few rounds and I honestly felt like I could've pushed harder and knocked him out easily cause his striking defense was really bad

Do judo instead, actually useful outside in the real world where you dont have mats to protect you and you dont start a fight on your damn knees or back lmao.

next please make video on jujitsu vs 3 year old kid to prove how effective jujitsu is.

The dude in the boxing gloves managed to defend the take down a little. You can tell that they are mixing the training, this is not a competitive contest.

Comments saying how hard it is to grapple with boxing gloves…kid was getting smoked either way, fella had his lead hand down by his hip, he didn’t know how to defend shit, boxing gloves or not

I’m looking for anything in a fight. Don’t box expecting that to be like that in a real fight. I picked up boxing to add to my bag but I know tai kwondo. The best would be Muay Thai, boxing, ju jitsu, and Akido combined as the ultimate martial art

Wow how genius of the guy with the gloves to stay in close range like that after that combo missed, that made so much sense!

it all depends on the time and place and who ur up against. all fights start on the feet. but if you get someone that’s a striker and has decent takedown defense the striker will most likely take it

Honestly, IMO do judo, jujitsu boxing or kickboxing one grappling one striking and you’ll be set I like the idea of Judo over jujutsu because I was a heavyweight wrestling and like tossing (and yes, I know Judo derived from jujitsu)
