Thank you for the review, I just ordered one from amazon. It will replace my old energizer lantern that takes 4 C batteries, I have the olight obulb and I love it. I am sure I will love the Olantern just as much, cant wait to get it.

I’m liking it. Can’t wait to order mine on October 22. Thanks for the review. I see a lot of negative or folks that are saying it’s poor design. Blessings brother. I read the description and noticed VIP have early access, got my lantern order in. Thank you.

I use a lantern for camping, for long power outs I have solar lights. The price to me is a bit high for what it is and if there’s no electricity how do you charge. I have a potent flashlight but I mostly use my little $10 UCO flashlight/lantern, is perfect for reading and changing clothes inside my tent, has a cord to hang in the tent and if I need to use the bathroom is right there as a small flashlight, no need to fiddle to find it. Uses one AA battery that’s easy to carry an extra, and so far I’ve used it every day in numerous camping trips and I’m yet to change the battery.

Really nice I'm going to get a couple of these. Very nice and will be perfect for when the electric goes off. Now I just need a portable fridge I can use to keep my insulin cold when the power goes out, only after the Ice turns to water.

Great review! I bought 2 lantern bundles yesterday. Didn't think they were that small though. Lol.

I believe that the sofirn blf LT1 is better. It can last a week on 1 lumen. It's better in ipx (7) rating. Usb C so even faster than the magnetic charge. Tint ramping and a flame module that allows you to get it by clicking three times and holding the last one. The Olantern is an extremely bad product, which is something nobody expected from OLight.
@Mat-kr1nf4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, been checking it out, that really does tick all the boxes! It also looks to be really well made, unlike Olight’s lump of plastic. Why would anybody buy Olight’s lantern when this is available for the same. Never mind pay the full price for Olight’s lantern. I have two Olight’s torches and I can’t fault them, but this lantern.... Any way bud, cheers for pointing this Sofirn out!😀
@shadowmaster80204 жыл бұрын
@@Mat-kr1nf No problem, always happy to share knowledge. Make sure to buy it through sofirn's official website, it'll be much cheaper than Amazon. (Extra info) Make sure to read the manual unless you're a flashlight nerd and know andúril off by heart lol. If you're going to leave it unattended on high modes just check that the thermal sensor is almost accurate.
@Mat-kr1nf4 жыл бұрын
@@shadowmaster8020 Nice one for that, definitely not a flashlight nerd though, I’ll have to do a bit of research on what you said about the thermal sensor! 😀
@shadowmaster80204 жыл бұрын
@@Mat-kr1nf The UI it uses is a modified version of andúril. The andúril chip that is soldered has an internal thermal sensor. Basically you need to leave it in a room for half an hour that you know the temperature of then go into the thermal sensor settings by pressing 3 times (I believe) then pressing it 2 times three times and letting it read out the temperature in a sequence of blinks, if it is within 3-4 degrees of the room then it shouldn't matter too much. Edit: Warning: do not go on budget light forums or r/flashlight otherwise you're gonna have a collection that can light an entire street and more lol.

Go for a kerosene lantern. If you can get an old Dietz or Feuerhand, you’ll be set. They warm up your tent and give you light. You can get odourless oil for them too.

A lot of people are sleeping on this lantern because it looks like a cheap Walmart lantern. You're not gonna find a cheap lantern that is rechargeable, IPX4 rated, has interchangable modules, a battery indicator, 2 year warranty, etc

My concern with an Olight lanterns is that the light tint won't be warm enough to be pleasant to light up a room during a power outage. Did you find the light quality pleasant?
@johnv72234 жыл бұрын
Can you swap batteries? This lantern is no good to me if the battery dies in the field and I have to charge for 7 hours. I want to be able to have fully charged backup batteries to swap out. I use a propane lantern now and keep a spare bottle in case the bottle I’m using goes empty. I can put a brand new bottle in the lantern and be on my way. This lantern would be perfect if I can swap batteries but not worth it if you cannot.
@shadowmaster80204 жыл бұрын
Nope you can't even do it's a piece of plastic it's not durable and as I previously said a cheaper product does much better than this in all aspects.

This looks like a very nice Olite lantern. Is the light on the cool side? It looks bluish tint to me? I really dig the flame 🔥 bulb I wish it was a bit brighter but still it gives it a nice ambiance. When you mentioned the batteries it takes are they built in? Can they be easily replaced when the batteries are worn out? I tried looking for a link for sales in your channel but I couldn’t find it? What’s the estimated price during an Olite flash sale? Thanks for the great review!
@jiujitsu20004 жыл бұрын
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. The bottom of the light has three screws and you can take the base off and the battery can be replaced easily if needed. I will be launching a video tomorrow morning showing all the prices and details of the flash sale. Please stay tuned!! Thank you

Such a biased review !! How many times did you say "really cool" and "very nice" ? I mean it's so feature poor I guess thats all you could keep repeating. It is a poor design and let's be really honest here. Out of ALL of olights models made to date did you expect this olatern to come from them. I'm very disappointed. The lumen and run time is extremely lacking. Doesnt even have a strobe of some sort whether it be a beacon or sos. Now did they do this on purpose to only come out with a olantern pro model later or whatever the choose to call it ? I think so.
@JimmyWayne74 жыл бұрын
that'll be so sweet Lantern Warrior Pro model next with tactical bezel and strobe but in the meantime we'll just have to do the manual SOS turn it on and turn it off the old fashion way

Got to say, “very cool”, “super excited”, “pretty cool” 😫 is so intensely annoying to say the least. All I can say is, easily pleased!🤣😂. For the money they want for a bit of plastic, made in China, very disappointing, not super cool at all. I don’t like putting people down, this is meant to be a constructive comment, but.......please, please STOP saying “cool”, I have never heard it said so many times, it just gets so bloody annoying, I actually stopped taking anything in because I was waiting for the next “cool” or “very nice” or “super excited”. It’s not the 60s any more, you weren’t born in the 60s. Saying “cool” 3 times in a sentence is NOT...............COOL!!!!🥺😩🥶😂🤣

You couldn’t seem to find too much to get excited about. You seemed to repeat the very basic functions over and over, even to the point of thoroughly checking out the accessories. It’s an Olight and I like their products but it’s ordinary/basic in my opinion. Not cool at all.
