Just turned 65. I had so much fun when I was barely a teenager dancing ballroom. But never was I or my partners at this level. It makes me smile to see today's youth still enjoying what I enjoyed too many decades ago.

Contestants/couple no. 500 are the best. See at 0:33 (both wearing all black, on her waist a wide silver sequin belt). They are the only couple who dance smoothly and have a good routine. The others are jittery, spastic, and simply going through the memorized motions.

These young people are just incredible dancers. I can not imagine how good they will be by the time they are 18 year olds. Very very good. You don't see many kids in america with the desire or the talent to excel like this. Fabulous.
@Romulan1126 ай бұрын
No, you don't see it in america. Where are the american kids spending their time. Look at them, their heads are down looking at their phones watching Tic Toc.

Seriously??? By the time they're 18 their careers will be over. Hell they'll be over by the time they turn 15. Get a clue.
@Mongo9665 ай бұрын
The complement was sufficient. I don't really see the point of comparing children from different parts of the world. Not everything has to be political. Anyways, I can assure you that america has their fair share of psycho stagemoms pushing their children to achieve perfection at meaningless activities.

@@fredjones7705when you watch world professional Latin American dancers, just how old do you think they were when they started dancing? Many start very young. Those who don’t like it drop out. I really love to watch all these dancers perform, but the one question that keeps coming to mind is why to so many of the female dancers wear so much black eye shadow/liner?
@thaismatsumoto3 ай бұрын
Because dance is also about part how well they express themselves. The makeup just makes their expressions show better. Pretty much for the same reason ballet and figure skaters wear a lot of makeup.

In Europe we mature early, we are given responsibilities early, and we are encouraged to grow up. In American children are 'raised' to remain in a permanent state of adolescence, well into their 30's, which is bizarre. But hey, different culture I suppose.

The teachers of these young dancers need to be fired. Lynn Dawson would run all of these dances off the floor and not be back till learned proper foot, leg, arm, hand, back, and core positions. The backs are not in proper form, the arms and legs are everywhere, hands and feet are not proper. I do not blame the young dancers only their teachers. This was nothing but a dance party. Just looking at them is an eye sore.

@p.thompson53755 ай бұрын
you ever dated a dancer? Trust me, dancers are extremely strong and fit... what you think is anorexic is really a lean mean dancing machine :) if I had my way, I'd require dancing for everybody, male and female, from about age 2 to 90... and require it in physical fitness classes at all levels of schooling from preschool through college and graduate school :) quite often, ballet classes are added to the training regimen of professional athletes, including boxers, basketball players, and football players... ballet is recognized as one of the toughest forms of training... I had even heard that Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson took some ballet classes, required by their trainers :)
