Being a Love/Hate fan from back in the day it was fascinating to hear this in-depth with Jim/Jizzy, who I also saw with Ratt. For me, Jim/Jizzy's definitive creative legacy remains his work with Love/Hate; that's where we hear him being himself, rather than a journeyman stand-in for other vocalists. My takeaways here are several: I'm impressed with Jizzy's overall character; he comes across as a smart and honest guy who has struggled and suffered for his art, yet isn't bitter but the wiser. I recall very well the Hollywood sign crucifixion incident when it happened and watched it on TV. Hearing Jizzy's detailed account here is mindblowing, especially because of the danger involved; he could have been seriously injured or killed and I'm actually surprised that he wasn't. As for his post Love/Hate career, it is apparent that he is reliable and can be counted on to show up ready, willing and able to deliver the goods as a professional. This is obviously why he get the calls and gigs. I have a newfound respect and admiration for Jizzy after seeing this. Thank you Jason and Jizzy.

Funny how the interweb works....4 years later and I'm watching this video in 2024. I've seen a few QR gigs with JP--Creaturesfest 2022 & MORC 2024--I've watched numerous vids on JPearlTV, read a bunch of his stories from his signed books (FB advertising does work on me, Uncle Jizzo). I really enjoyed this interview--learned lots about my fave Uncle. Experienced deja-vu watching the Hollywood sign "crucifixion." Saw L/H open for AC/DC @ Long Beach Arena back in the day and a headline gig somewhere in L.A. Just an overly long way of saying "thank you" from this Torontonian. Keep on rockin', Uncle Jizzo!

Jason, thank you so much for this! I know it’s a few years late, but I’ve been watching your show now for the last year. I’m really close to the Arcada Theater in St Charles IL. I was at the Pearcy show last fall also. Recently retired cop and our Deputy Chief of the department is a HUGE fan of yours. I didn’t think anyone older than me (51) could get me into anything i wasn’t aware of, but based on his recommendation, I learned of Wednesday 13 from your channel. Thank you for doing what you do. Love/Hate was my favorite band in high school growing up in Orange County, California. I had all their CDs and Tshirts. Was ecstatic when I got to see them perform at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater. In my opinion Love/Hate and Bang Tango are 2 of the most underrated hard rock bands in history rhat should have been HUGE. But in a way I'm glad they are special and not mass pop appeal like GNR. England knows whatsup in that they dig Love/Hate more than Americans. Thank you for this epic interview. Jizzy is such a rad dude, so chill and honest. He has good vibes and positive energy ✨️

As the grunge scene emerged in the UK and the glam metal scene became out dated Love/hate in the uk was not seen in the same way. If Lets Rumble had been marketed better that album would have sold better and been as big, at least in England.

Why did I not find this earlier? I can tell you why Love/Hate was big in the UK as can many of my friends. (Caution - this post may include reminiscence). Love/Hate rolled off the back of several ‘big’ bands, but with an edge and I truly believe that it hit myself and my friends at that ‘perfect moment’. It captured the branch between a splintering culture. There were some kids going one way and others going another. I’m not sure how Love/Hate popped up on the radar. Although I remember being at an operatic production and Hell California Population 4 occurring in conversation :D, yeah strange, but there were four of us and we were headed on stage. It might have started there. Spin on several months and Wasted in America came out in the UK. @Jizzy I’m almost certain you will not remember but we all ploughed down to the record shop in Nottingham where you and the band were doing a signing. Maybe you will remember us because we had an array of odd things to sign :D . Later that day, having already established through very polite (like too polite to appreciate given the circumstances) that you where ‘feeling it’, we watched you perform at ‘Rock City’ in Nottingham. It was just awesome, having just met you earlier that day and then being mere meters away from you. Totally flawless performance too. I remember it all. Something I will cherish. And if you are worried about how your rock and roll mislead the youth of c.90s, know that I’m a very responsible, pragmatic, successful and free thinking individual. All the better for having a little bit of being wasted 😉

These are really good interviews. But these volumes are completely off. Jason, you’re coming through loud and clear while the person you’re interviewing their volume is way lower than yours so while you’re listening to it it’s hard to hear the person being interviewed and you can’t hear what they’re saying sometimes unless you turn it up real loud. Then when you speak Jason, you have to turn it down because you’re sounding like you’re screaming through the speakers. I don’t know if I’m the only one that feels this way these volumes need to be corrected. But I see I really enjoy listening to these interviews they’re really good. Now if the volumes can be equaled out it would be so much more enjoyable and easier to listen to.
