As a HUGE sixers fan, i LOVE maxey. He is a shining light in the darkness for a sixers fan. No matter what is happening with this team, as long as we have maxey, there is something to be excited about. Keep smiling maxey, & may your love and appreciation for the opportunity to play ball for a living always shine through.

love the “bad pass” analogy, similar to Rodman talking about how the ball bounces off the rim depending on who shot it and how he got the rebound

One of the biggest hurdles for rookies. Not being scared to make mistakes. It’s blatantly obvious when you see a young player who’s playing tight.

@@SolaceMcfly re read his comment and tell me it makes sense. I know what he means but he said the opposite. He used being scared as a negative. Grammatically it only makes sense if he’s talking about the hurdle(negative) and said not again right after meaning it’s a double negative

I get it's a joke but Tyrese prefaced it by saying JoJo triple teamed so practicing catch and shoots from contested passes is just savvy on Tyrese's end

Without question JJ is my favorite NBA journalist. Because he played, he has a depth of knowledge others don’t. He’s deep in a conversation and looking up stats to build on the conversation. Let’s get this man to 1 million subscribers!

Not only that. He is also eloquent and introspective and mature. Many other players make pods, but from those I've seen they are not as insightful nor deep as JJs.

@alonzoharris187 I disagree. I think we may have become too accustomed to the kind of criticism of analysts that is dismissive, I don’t find it productive. No one holds analysts accountable for the accuracy of predictions, but they will scrutinize EVERYTHING and ANYTHING about athletes.

When JJ says shooting gets infinitely more complicated of a subject, before I’d be no it isn’t. But after hearing him she Cam Johnson talk about it, I was literally dumbfounded with how much goes into shooting on their level. Like everything matters, where the pass is coming from, what side of the pick you’re coming off, which foot you plant first depending on the side your on, etc. I’m telling you if no one has seen that episode and enjoys basketball and shooting especially, it’s a must watch!

It's awesome that Tyrese wants to work on everything he'll need to use, and he's always thinking ahead to which passes he needs to work on, which shots, which plays, and all depending on who's on the roster, who's healthy, etc. That feels like a real professional attitude to me. As for pulling him if he misses a shot or making sure he knows there will be consequences for missing - that's some terrible coaching. You think he's trying to miss? It's literally the coach's job to make sure the player is in the best situation to succeed, and you're putting extra pressure on him when you know he's still getting adjusted to the NBA and to his new role? Why would anyone think that's a good idea?
