The apology clearly touched JJ deeply. Thanks for this peek into a world I would otherwise never see.

I’m not a fan of Vince Russo, but I will give him credit for being a man and apologizing.

Russo honestly doesn’t seem like a bad guy. We also have skeletons in our closet but I don’t think his goal to maliciously hurt people. It seems like most who hate him because his wrestling philosophy doesn’t match up with theirs. Honestly I think Cornette is a much bigger asshole

Thats an awesome story very heartfelt you can tell JJ really apprecited the olive branch Russo extended and apologized for any heat in the past i listen to Russo's podcast he's really matured it's refreshing to see this instead of the typical back and forth bashing.

I know, I love his podcast as well. It took me a while, but he has really grown on me. He is born to be an entertainer, and a loud one at that.

How does that in any way atone for any of his previous behavior? Do whatever evil you want, but make sure you apologize and that makes it all better? Anything short of seppuku is unacceptable.

I have no idea who this gentleman is, as I'm not really a wrestling fan but do know many of the wrestlers, but I get such a feel of a gentle soul, and a really good man from him.

I wonder if its ever surreal for people like JJ who have been in the business 40+ yrs and given their sweat & tears to be sit next to Vince Russo & Eric Bischoff at these fan events.

Vince Russo isn’t the talentless schmuck that the “IWC” makes him out to be. I don’t care what anyone says, I really like the guy. I like what he did in WWF, AND what he did in WCW and TNA. I enjoy his videos on KZbin. I think fans of the entertainment side of wrestling like his work. On the other hand, I think the cruiserweight fans (the ones who take “wrestling” very seriously, and who don’t like storylines and characters) absolutely despise him. I guess it all depends on what your preference is. I like wrestling being tacky and funny. Some people don’t.

i hate russo's ideas and booking, but the reason he "cut a promo" on JJ was that JJ was on the phone completely insulting every facet of russo's booking and show and speaking loud enough for all the floor to hear when he was working with russo daily and could have said that to his face anytime. ofcourse, that doesnt make what russo did right, but it does make them both wrong.

Use to love WCW back in the day.. Vince Russo was a funny character,I don't think he was a nasty bloke, just tried to many shock tactics to make WCW work, but he ended up ruining it sadly.

I like Russo. The problem varies. It stems from those in the business that's traditionally unchangeable to a changing audience. Dillon, Kevin Sullivan, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Bill Watts strikes me as the type of personalities that literally suffocate upcoming talented pro wrestlers. WWE Vinny Mac were a genius. Why? He adapted to a changing audience that's still changing.
