Really like Tommy’s take about how this draft might set a precedent about how we evaluate leagues that players come from. That said the G League and pretty much every Euro league are significantly better comp than college and I don’t think we should shy away from that reality

If I were Dallas I would be trying to pickup Steven Adams and a couple of snipers. Dump Kyrie like a bad habit. He just isn't a good fit with Luka. They play the same position the same way. Ball dominant with god like handles and top shelf court vision. Those two skills REQUIRE you to have the ball in your hands to utilize them. So get rid of him. Maybe Duncan Robinson from the Heat as a shooter and Seth Curry.... that would make them competitive in the West. You MUST have a Center that can at least give Jokic some resistance.
@RomnysGonzalez Жыл бұрын
You get it!!. That's what the DAL needs. A defensive center who is efficient. Brook Lopez,Adams,Jakob Poelt,Myles Turner. You then add a ton of 3nD wing players who can shoot the basketball. Luka is so good he doesn't need 2 mores superstars next to him. Give him Star roleplayers and he gonna run the west next to the Nuggets. Imagine Luka Seth Curry OG(17M) Jeremi Grant(20M) Myles/Lopez or Jakob Poelt.(20M) All great defensive centers who make no mistakes and never miss shots close to the rim at the dunker spots(Poelt) and or spreed the floor (Lopez and Myles) Is done. You won't be able to stop that. You just need to get rid of Kyrie asking for 40+M and you get more than enough Cap Space to make it happen

Kinda but not quite on Denver and the new CBA. Their key players are locked up for the next 2 seasons. It’s virtually certain the cap is going up 10% per year. So when they extend Jamal in 2 years, it’s on a $30 mio higher cap, so there is room. Then for depth, they have gone through the draft. They avoided “projects”, they drafted older 22-23 year old players, two with 5 years NCAA, who are ready NOW. They signed them for four years at $2mio, so they have nice cost controlled bench. They will NOT be going the vet minimum route. It might not work but they chose this strategy early and are into the second year of it. So far so good.
