Күн бұрын

JJ Redick joins Allie Clifton, Richard Jefferson, and Channing Frye of 'Road Trippin' to discuss the Minnesota Timberwolves stunning the Denver Nuggets, the rise of Anthony Edwards, how Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray can break through against the Wolves defense, and Rudy Gobert skipping Game 2 for the birth of his child. Then they discuss JJ's coaching rumors, Jalen Brunson leading the Knicks over the Pacers, and give hot takes about Celtics-Cavaliers & Thunder-Mavericks.

Wolves are benefitting enormously from the officiating change. Refs letting them play football out there like its 1993. Sure murray and malone should have been ejected or suspended but they let it slide bc they are letting Minnesota slide on basically every defensive posession.

22:34 I've always felt this way about JJ Redick and his podcast with Lebron. Feels kinda elitist and douchey when you "just so happen" to drop terminology and just kinda assume everyone understands what you're saying. It's also cringe. Thank you RJ for calling that out lmao 😂

If TNT/Inside the NBA contract deal is not renewed I can see these 4 being a 10 year good running alternative for Amazon or NBC. Unless, JJ wants to coach. A very informative and entertaining show.

JJ is all but flat out saying he's about to become coach for the Hornets or Lakers. He couldn't be apart of NBC Sports since he's already with ABC/Disney. But I don't necessarily think they'd be good trying to be the pre-game, halftime and postgame crew because ultimately people will just compare them to the TNT crew. We'll have to see what happens with the contracts of the TNT crew given they won't have a program to cover the NBA

I think the reason why Minnesota defense is elite is because in their own team practice, they need to guard Anthony Edwards. If they play against an Ant man everyday for an entire season, there's no question their defense will become elite. And to J Rich's point, if Minnesota can guard Book and KD, Jamal Murray is an easier assignment. Furthermore, if they can guard Ant Man day-to-day, then the rest of the league is an easier assignment.

NBA media heads just love slighting Giannis. He's been thr best player in the East and its not up for debate. His team struggled for reasons that were outside of his control. Even with injuries the Knicks peices fit so well together that the burden in Brunson is not nearly as high as people think. People are just so used to his greateness that they're moving on from him no matter how historic his seasons are.
