The crazy thing is, Windows Phone was the best UI for mobile devices, by far. The tile system just made sense, and still does. Just a pity Microsoft made mistake after mistake with it.

IKR, Windows phone is a smooth OS and only requires low spec to run. Not enough apps support is one of the reasons that kill windows phone.

I had one of these! It was my first smartphone and was a logical transition from my prior Nokia flip phones for me, I was blown away by it at the time. After I switched to a Nexus 5 I ended up giving it to my Dad and he used it for while replacing his Nokia N8. It was cool at the time but the lack of support for so many apps is what drove me away.

I used this phone for almost 4-5 years and kept regretting for below things - 1. No Front Camera 2. Not able to share/ take videos/photos easily. 3. Couldn't connect my phone to the laptop without Zune App. 4. Not having Play Store as Android had. 5. Many more things

Ya those are valid points, a lot of flaws but keep in mind that was Nokia's first windows phone. They fixed most of the problems in later models but not enough apps are something they can’t fix it. Can blame that on Microsoft

You can transfer photos from your Nokia Lumia 800 to your Windows PC using a USB cable. Here are the steps you can follow: 1. Connect your Nokia Lumia 800 to your Windows PC using a USB cable. 2. Thank you for your comment! Ya Nokia and Microsoft made a lot mistakes which put them into this position. It’s sad to see them die but it is what is it. At least we had good memories using them.

I loved using Nokia 9500. great thing was i used to get when ever there was a new edition from Nokia. Later I left intrest in using mobile 📲. I use now but I don't love anymore irrespective of brand, I can't forget the love with NOKIA. Thanks for your reply

Now I just got one in box new condition and one that keeps turning off coming on it's way, I also picked up a cheap 520 on eBay to add to my order as it was cheap and only had a pin lock which can be fixed by wiping the OS and reinstalling which I will use as a music player.

I still use it every day for calls and messages. What a shame, nice hardware ruined by horrible software. I can not even put any custom ringtones on it. Or any files at all for that matter.

The phone was stuck. Basically, that's why it didn't seem to work no matter what you did. The battery died, so the phone automatically started working again.

Oh really? My phone is still able to hold a charge even after unplugging. I won’t say the battery is dead but weak battery for sure.

@JackyYBT You misunderstood. The battery was fine, maybe degraded but still working. The OS/some application was stuck, unresponsive, or frozen. That, too, in a way that caused the entire OS to not respond. The only way to turn it on was to discharge it completely for a hard reboot. A misbehaving application was what caused the issue. Common problem on phones with less powerful hardware. The OS, while trying to run unoptimized software, would run out of memory or of available CPU power to pull through.

If you now only start to use this phone with a new account, you can't download apps anymore because they shutdown the service. I downloaded those apps like 8 years ago when the service was still there.

Hi, unfortunately the windows phone App Store already dead for many years.You can’t download apps from there anymore. There are few tutorial videos teaching people how to side load apps but that’s for windows phone 8.
