Just amazing how we in the diaspora especially Jamaica kept some Africa traditions but also very different. We do like the one pot soup thing but we eat it differently- Typically using a spoon. We like yams but not in the fufu style.

We Igbos in Nigeria always separate the soup from the fufu!! To be honest I hate eating with my hand since childhood and I refuse to eat from the same bowl with anyone !!!! My grandmother used to scold me for asking for a fork and wanting my own bowl , but my dad would tell her to leave me !

It's really enjoyable learning about fufu I hope I spell it right.Have only heard of it from movies but at least you brought it closer home though without tasting it 😜.I hope I will get a place and have a taste, I wonder which type of fufu you would recommend for a first time person?Have also learnt you don't use spoons,I wonder how you clear the last drop of the soup when the meat is over.Thank you watching from Kenya.
