Can't wait to be on the Breakaway in 66 days... I did the Getaway last year, and as a young widow, the studio concept is what brought me to cruise with NCL. It's cheaper for me to cruise than to go in hotels and pay a overcharge for just being alone. The studios are perfect for one person, comes with its own lounge where only solos have access to, and even have its own cruise director with events only made for solos. Great that NCL has that.

@@royinglemon3654 Oh the cruise was fantastic. I took part with the different gathering and met amazing people with similar or different stories. We never ate alone in a table in any restaurant, and I really appreciated the organizers having booked us in the shows. There was one that was fully booked and without this group I wouldn't have been able to see it. Not the cheapest, but the return and the never be alone is a great value. I'll do it again in my next cruise for sure !

Yes!!! We discovered the deck on lower levels were amazing during sail away as well as by the patio furniture near waterfront. Get our first drink by the pool for a bit then go down.

I am SOOO glad that I watched your video. I had booked the Vibe but had NO idea that there isn’t elevator access to it. I had to call and cancel as my husband is in an electric wheelchair. So ridiculous they even let us book it considering we are in an accessible cabin AND filled out all of the information letting them know the specs of his chair. Thank you for the great insight! ❤

Thank you for another great ship tour. I found the ship chopped up! We had not done NCL in 27 years. We found that everywhere we went it was packed with people, we are not used to this on Royal or Celebrity!

We were on the Getaway in December and I couldn't tell one ship from the other in the video. On sea days we were in the hot tub by the stage watching bands for alot of the time.

It is definitely an older ship, but at the same time I can tell that they’ve done a good job at keeping it clean and welcoming. Even though it has its positives, this is just not a ship for me and I don’t think it’s worth the money for what you get. There are lots of other options available with other cruise lines and you could say it within Norwegian as well. That’s just my opinion.

AHOY. Love seeing this ship! It’s a great boat! I HIGHLY recommend! O’Sheehan’s will soon change its name to The Local. With the same menu. It’s the only 24 hr eatery I know of, on the water. Sid Norman’s is a wonderful venue with an awesome house band! Because it’s on the small side, they usually bring the bands to the theater, if they pack a crowd. Also, Deck 8 goes ALL around at the back, and has glassy areas that you can see the water through. We’re boarding the Breakaway for the fourth time in Rome, in November. It’s got a great itinerary, 16 days of bliss, and is quite economical. I highly recommend checking it out!! It disembarks in New York. #ComingToAmerica 🚢❣️🚢

NCL has the Free at Sea which doesn't include Canned Soda or Specialty Coffee. What do you all expect for the "Free at Sea" it's a great package. However unlike other cruise lines their upgrade package is very reasonable. I bought the Free At Sea+ for $300 and that included Unlimited Internet, 2 Extra Specialty Dining, Extra 2 extra Shore Excursion Coupons AND The Premium Drink Package and included the gratuities.

Most other lines include bottled/canned water and specialty coffees. We believe the water is the biggest miss given the amount of alcoholic drinks being served. 😅

I just got off the Escape a few weeks ago and really loved it. My only issue with NCL's design is the ship is really "dark" and "grim" looking. Prima seems to have fixed that but not sure I like the layout of that ship from what I've seen, nor the other weird choices like going with one menu in each venue for an entire week....

I am sorry to say these impressions about NCL BREAKAWAY I was in the ship leaving Rome on October the 23 2023, goin to Greece, going to Santorini and the other Greek Islands; the ship arrived late nd our tour was cancelled It is okey nothing to do about it, but I have to comment on the boat itself. I was in room 11869, and the room was contaminated with MOLD, I suffered from asthma, and I got back very sick. They need to clean the whole ship, change and clean the cabinets, change and clean the carpet all over, and also improve the food. Nothing compare with the cruises I went before the pandemic. Sorry NCL, never again I will go into a boat that is not brand new. Post pandemic

great review but Breakaway seems like an outdated ship. We always go on Royal Caribbean. Most of the Royal ships are exactly the same but they look more modern than the Norwegian lines. Again, thank you for a well-organized review.
