JJD - Future [NCS Release]

Is life infinite? Only cartoons are. Why do we live? Why do we do the things we choose to do? What, if not death, is the future? Life is short. So why do we all lie to ourselves and say life has meaning? The future is a prospect that's only one thing - terrifying. We'll die, watch others die, and see it all fade away. So why even try? The answer, I think, is in this song. We need to remain appreciative of the little things, whether it be a flower or something else, we need to get that childhood innocence back, be that robot entranced by a little flower. We know we're not built to last, but we need to hold on to what we have.

It's a sort of solemn melancholy on the robot's faceless expression. Both wonder and curiosity, innocence and forlornness. What is he remembering? He seems wistful of the past... or the future? Where does he come from? I get mad steampunk vibes that just lift my soul while downtreading my body. It's a future that sounds so great, but has so much darkness. Is this what is being signaled? I'd hope not. I really don't.
