@@foresthealing7907 I hear what you are saying about the corporate aspect, but to he fair JJF walked on a huge amount of money for the right reasons, I think it was the remaining 12 of 30 million, but that is still almost half and not a move many would make. So yes the corportization of surfing and the endless hordes of wavestorms are a bummer but there was not air in this video and it wasn't produced by Hurley, not to mention the kind of underlying message was respect to the roots and not being about the money or notoriety

That is such an achingly beautiful and moving tribute to Pipe. The colors are something I've never seen before - Erik totally surpassed himself and anyone else in capturing the spectrum. And his eye for the perfect moment in a wave and the light -- such an artist. I am so thankful to see these sights, sitting here in the mountains of NC. And of course, as always, the brilliance of John's surfing and tribute to other greats also. That moment when John came sliding down the first wall gave me chills. Great job. Epic brilliant and beautiful like only John can unselfishly do. Hawaii is a sacred and ancient place. Before it was an island/s it was the mountain tops of Lemuri, a sprawling continent in the Pacifc with divinely inspired peoples. It was brought to destruction and most scattered but a few remained in Hawaii. The noble spirit lives in all Hawaiians, and the people who visit are forever affected by its gift of love and generosity.
