I know this is video is sponsored by a gear brand, but it I appreciate how much less commercial the focus is compared to a typical surf film. No stickers on the board, and needessentials just makes unpretentious quality surf gear instead of flip flops you buy at the mall (looking at you quiksilver and billabong). I would pay a small monthly fee to support somebody like Torren making films. To everyone who finds this video so refreshing: we need to support economic models that better reflect our values!

absolutely hypnotic. for some reason when I was watching it I started thinking that regular thruster surfing, with the constant aggressive tricks is really just an immature version of something like this, which seems more like art. almost dancing with the wave instead of attacking it. great style, great music, nice spots and good waves

@needessentials Awesome video! Was lovin' the waves and your style on that 7'2". Then at 02:49 the look on your face is exactly how I felt for you and your board when I saw it (i of coarse was affixed on the board first. Then rewind to see your expression). And then the other board after that! Sheesh! So far away and in such a short time. I did the same with my first custom board (by Russel Hoyte). It was on my second time surfing it and it snapped in half. "Rusty" felt bad for me because we had only made a down payment on it. He leant me one of his apoxies and I broke it on my second wave. We still had to pay off the first board but he let me off on the apoxy. At least you got some AMAZING footage on that 7'2" before it broke. Dream board . . . ! Thanks for the video!!!!! Amazing vibe, surf and surfing!
