Totally agree. I just bought a net yesterday and watched a quick tutorial, it had 5-6 steps. I was getting something wrong because I was close almost every time. I've seen some pretty complicated techniques, which in actuality makes throwing a cast net even more challenging and intimidating. Yours is by far the simplest and most effective I've seen so far. Kudos to you man!

Struggled with mine for 2 hours, got 3 out of luck. Could never get it to open all the way because I for whatever reason was using my left hand. Tried this method and with my right hand and it opened perfectly. Like someone else in the comments I threw quite a few more test throws and they all open perfectly now. Watched this video 20 minutes before we got to the beach to fish and never used a cast net before.
