I'm a lifelong Bucks fan (so many years of absolute misery and mediocrity), and one of the things I saw the most after the Bucks won the championship is Bucks fans thanking BP and telling him to go get his well-deserved bag with a team that could pay him. When he re-signed again, we were all really surprised but elated. We all knew he would eventually have to get paid and it's great to see the Bucks have since done that. Leaving Giannis on the side I know that the best players are Middleton and Holiday. There is something about Bobby Portis that makes him my favourite player after Giannis. That's interesting that he had the insight to know he needed a team where he would fit and that could win to showcase his skills. Most players would have went to the highest bidder, and if Bobby does this he doesn't win a chip, the world doesn't know how good he is, think he's still averaging a double double off the bench, and instead of being a fan favorite and a 6th man of the year candidate, he's looking for a team year after year on 2 year second year options. Glad he found his way to the Bucks.

From the start, Bobby has out performed his contract. Then took less money to stay in MIL the next year. That made him one of my favorite athletes ever as you never see loyalty like that, ever. Then out performed that contract. Then MIL stepped up and gave him a real 4-year contract. And the man continues to step up and be exactly what the Bucks need from him. Much love for Bobby Buckets! I remembered watching his highlights at Arkansas that season and thinking this guy will be good in the NBA. I was out walking around & I saw bro from a distance, I was like Oh S*** Its Bobby Portis. I didn't have a pen on me at the time or anything for him to sign & I wanted to wish him luck in the Tournament but I was a kid & I got nervous and kept it pushing lol. He was with 2 of his teammates but they was just chilling and enjoying the city I'm sure, I definitely wish I would have said something looking back! I always kept a eye on his career though, my Bulls drafted him and I was happy but we were going through that Rose/Butler transition phase & the Knicks just didn't have the pieces. His game kept evolving through everything and I'm proud of bro for winning a Chip, he was a pivotal part of the Bucks winning that Championship.
