brad stevens is 100% one of elite basketball minds amongst nba coaches, but for the celtics XO's was never the problem or talent for that matter. Which is why on paper, they've always been crazy stacked. The issues has always been managing egos amongst young and up and coming stars, inexperience etc. From my limited understanding of that situation, brad never seemed to be the type of guy to manage relationships or be the lead voice of the team. But his players knew he was a genius, so they had no problems strictly with his game planning/strategy. But it's clear that Ime demanded far more stage presence and was an excellent emotional leader. Both of course were critical for the teams development though. Brad is still in the org in the front office. so it's not like he has no impact on anything when he switched positions with danny ainge.

The interpretation of what he’s saying: Joe Mazzulla doesn’t know how to make in game adjustments. I honestly think if Udoka was still the coach this past year, the C’s woulda won the chip.
@DualityUnlimited

As a Laker fan I agree with you. Miami was a weird Team of Destiny Pretender. The C’s could have built on their success of last season. I the the Celtics vs Nuggets would have been a better matchup. I also think learning how to process In Game management is a crucial skillet that comes from experience. I think it truly comes from playoff experience when coaching is seemingly most needed.

Wouldn't have mattered Young players don't win in the NBA. Especially for wings. At the highest level games are decided on a razor's edge and experience is just too important in the decision making process. But I do agree the Brown/Tatum hate is over done considering what they have accomplished to date That said, I'll still argue they don't make each other better. It's like Russ and KD. Their games just aren't complimentary the way Murray and Jokic or Steph/Dray/Klay are.

@@leseanwalston7916 winning a ring is the litmus test, and it isn't as simple as 2 extra games. if it was that simple, they would have done it. in my opinion, a finals appearance and consistent top-4 finishes shouldn't be degraded and called a failure, and the whole championship or bust angle is something that isn't really seen in other sports. however, jaylen brown isn't exactly worth $304m

If udoka is such a great coach why did the Celtics lose to the Warriors in the finals when they were up in the series and lost the final three games in a row by 10 points or more? I think Joe did a good job this year. He was thrown into the lions den right at the beginning of training camp without notice. The Celtics were second-best on defense and on offense in the entire NBA last year. He lost one of his main assistants before the season ended. Of course he's going to make mistakes. But it also means that he's going to learn from those mistakes and get better. Brad brought in some new experienced coaches to help him. I'm looking forward to see how Joe and the team does this year. I think lamenting about udoka's loss is stupid. udoka screwed the Celtics (no pun intended) by doing what he did, and I think he should be the one to be blamed for his having to leave the team not the Celtics.

@@taetrrtot6205 if someone (male) in an above position sleeps with someone who works in a lower position (female) it can get very messy for the organization, legally speaking of course. I mean that's how I interpreted it, but I could be wrong.

@@taetrrtot6205 😂 ok clearly you have never worked in a corporate setting either but here i’ll give you a basic example. If you are a person with a position of power or a boss you can’t go sleeping around the office not because of adultery but because of something called a lawsuit. The lawsuit could come from the person who is sleeping with that boss or even someone who isn’t even sleeping with the boss. You think workplaces want to deal with a lawsuit and investigations?
