As a pacers fan, we are very excited to have Tyrese as a part of our future. We know we're not the most desirable place to be for NBA players, but man if we could get our own guy like Giannis who is loyal and loves the franchise, the city, the fans. A star who actually wants to be here, that would be amazing for us. Even if Tyrese never reaches Giannis's level, if he buys in and becomes our next Reggie Miller, Pacers fans will be stoked. It would be awesome seeing Tyrese a few years down the road leading us through some deep playoff runs and possibly even winning a championship here. But it all depends on if the organization treats him well and if Tyrese buys in. His attitude seems a little on the cold side at the moment, which is understandable after what the Kings just did to him.

I always think to myself that if Bron was drafted by a team like Indiana or Detroit, he wouldn't have left. They're among the only small market teams that are willing to go for the big prize everytime they get a chance. That obviously doesn't guarantee that your star stays but it's better than most franchises

I'm a Pacers fan, but ever since learning AD wanted in and was rebuffed I've come to see that the playoffs is all the ownership is after, chasing championships doesn't seem to be their "thing". I hope Tyrese stays after the franchises control has gone....but if he is what we think he is I have little hope they pay the man. I hope they prove me wrong.

I understand trust issues immediately for Tyrese especially after hearing the JJ stories as well as his own situation in SAC.. but as a long time Pacer fan... Things are definitely different here (not always in a good way). If you genuinely WANT to be here and they say they want to build around you and keep you here, they mean it. If Tyrese comes here and leads the team to the playoffs by year three, they will definitely commit to him. On the other side of the coin, I'm not going to get my hopes up about him until he seems fully committed in return. We've been through the opposite too often lately. Nobody wants to stay in Indy once they make a name for themselves. It could be a perfect marriage but unfortunately, I would not be surprised to see Tyrese play out his contract and end up elsewhere.

Man, the trade wasnt that bad at all for me. If the King would have kept Haliburton and traded for Sabonis, that would be nice. But, I don't the Kings was able to give the best circumstances to Tyrese to develope into the best version of himself, like in the Pacers he will have the chance, alongside a pg in Brogdon that could fit better with his game. At best, the Kings push for a playoff run again, and Tyrese develope into a star in a bad/no mans land team, until the Pacers get better pieces around him to push for the playoffs again. Its the best for both teams. Dont forget how the Kings try to play Tyreke Evans outside the pg position and he started to not show his full potential (like in his rookie season) and started to get injured.

For the dunk contest. I honestly think it has run its course. There is only so much uniques a human being can do with a basketbal and a basket when it comes to dunking, even including these athletic freaks in the NBA, that at some point after almost 40 years it's just over. Not to mention a jury making it worse, because it includes a huge subjective portion in a sporting contest. Especially without standardised scoring. There is a reason why some of the most criticised sports at the Olympics are the sports where juries decide the outcome without any basis in standard points for certain feats.

This is why I've given up on the Kings. I've desperately wanted them to be back into the playoff discussion and be a winning team for YEARS. I'm a Rochester native, which is where the Kings originated from, and that's why I was a fan of theirs. I'll say I've given up on the Kings back when they hired Walton as their head coach. The Kings' front office always find ways to shoot themselves in the foot. When things look like they're heading in the right direction and have a plan in place, they always sabotage the rebuild and either backtrack the rebuild or have to start over again. When the Kings drafted Tyrese, I had more doubt about how they would handle Tyrese than how much upside he brought to the table. I said to myself, "alright, how are they going to mess this up?" after the pick was made. It is incredibly sad to say that as a fan. So when the trade happened, not only was I not shocked about it but the bar for my expectations for the Kings is at an all-time low. Not knocking on Sabonis because he is a good quality basketball player, but when a player wants to be a part of the rebuild and the front office doesn't feel the same, that's alarming to say the least. At least Tyrese is playing for an organization that feels the same way that he does. Best the luck to him. Please prove the Kings wrong

He would've been more loyal for sure but Harden is who Philly needed more as Harden can get like 23 points 10 assists every game which is gnna help more than tyrese getting like 16 and 8. But tbf maybe the sixers might try in the summer but they'd have to sacrifice too many first round picks I'd say because they don't really have anyone on their team with much value if you ignore the 3 untouchables (Embiid, Maxey & Harden). I feel like they'd have to offer Tobias, Thybulle and like 2 or 3 firsts or something and even then dk if the Pacers would take that.

Kings got rid of buddy heild contract and got an all star. Flexibility going forward with a 25 year old playmaking center is really good. Pacers is rebuilding so taking on one bad contract is fine to get a possible future all star

Would have loved having Tyrese in Philly. But I guess they went with James Harden... But that's how good you are Tyrese! In the same conversation with Ben Simmons, Sabonis, and James Harden! Is Philly calling you about a comeback JJ? With Curry gone, they can sure use you!

@@kylek1742 Well.... I didn't go in to much details. But I meant the Sixers went with the Harden trade package where they had to give up Drummond, Curry, and two first round picks along with Simmons. Would have likely been the other way for Haliburton. Probably would be Haliburton, Hields, Barnes, and picks for Simmons if it was trade with Kings.

For what it's worth I'm a hard-core basketball fan since a kid. Even a historian of sorts of the game. This trade was one of the dumbest all around inexplicable nonsensical trades in the last 25 years easy on the surface at least. I don't see a single win for the Kings from it besides Sabonis but I don't see why he would re-sign in Sacramento after seeing how dumb they are by his trade lol. So I count that as a rental of Sabonis. I'm happy Tyrese is out of that abyss but sad he didn't want it.

Lol! One on One easy.... anyone could do it and it would be entertaining! I would sign up for anything with a narrative attached. So like if we got a Russell Westbrook vs Patrick Beverley? Lebron James vs Luka Doncic, Grayson Allen vs Alex Caruso, Marcus Smart vs Anyone! Andre Drummond vs Joel Embiid I would pay for that one! James Harden vs Kevin Durant? Back in the day OMG Koby Bryant vs Jalen Rose or Dahntay Jones? It would be amazing!
