tatum's train of thought is way mature than his age and how some perceive him to be. he may not be a very vocal leader but he's self aware, he communicates with his teammates and has good control of his emotions. he may not be built in the mold of a kobe or mj, in terms of his leadership skills, but im sure he can lead this celtics team in his own way

One of the biggest “What If” scenarios when it comes to Tatum & Brown is what if Gordon didn’t get injured in the opening minutes of the 2017-18 season? Would that have hindered the growth and development of Brown & Tatum? Really interesting when u think about it.

Imo a better question is if the whole team could have functioned and won a championship which includes kyrie. Can't forget how well the celtics played together before and after Hayward went down, as brief as that time period was. Craziest possible butterfly effect.
@mc76
@mc76 2 жыл бұрын
Just to play the devil's advocate, the fact that the Celtics went to the conference finals without Irving and Hayward actually might have set the team back. I watched nearly every game the next season, and it was glaringly obvious that JB, Tatum, and Smart had decided that they were the future and could win without those two. It got to the point that Kyrie, JB, and Jayson would take turns playing one-on-five and Hayward became nothing more than a decoy. The team has never fully recovered. Let's hope that the last 10 games are a harbinger of things to come.

Of course the haters wanna break up our duo those 2 together are gonna be a problem for many years to come!
@maximusorbis2548

Ur reasoning is absolutely terrible. The reason people want them to break it up is based off fit. Tatum and Jaylen both play similar games and don’t maximize each other’s potential. A true Point guard who can maximize Jaylen or Tatums potential would be the best case scenario. L comment Manny, simplifying an issue that’s genuinely debatable

@@benbarson2810 Celtic fans are absolutely delusional. The East is stacked right now. I’d be shocked if they made it out of the first round. The only way I see them making it out is if they play the Cavs (I’m a Cavs fan btw) and even than that’s pushing it

the people need them together, u can laiterally see the growth in both of them visually and verbally their starting to realize ITS SHIP SZN AND THAS ALL WE KNO. seems like the chemistry issues in nba come from ego and lack of the team being close knit. when they can have those tough convos it will pull them through the rut to something better and above the rut

What an Amazing Answer !. Tatum and Brown are going to do some amazing things in this league !
@Needrng
@Needrng 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think the answer to the Celtics problems is trading away either of them and Jaylen Brown has been on a team friendly contract. Their problem has always been the guys around them and injuries. The front office needs to figure it out, but losing either of them without getting something major in return is bad business.

I was never much of a fan of Jason Tatum mainly because I’m a Heat fan and our two teams have had a rivalry for a while now. But after watching a few interviews with him, he has definitely grown on me. Young well spoken dude great player could tell the guy is a man of intellect. Respect to Tatum great player

I liked that.🤗 JT is so genuine. I love my team. That core group seems really tight. I hope the $ works out that we can keep it together and still maybe do something cause everyone is always hollering about traded. That "chemistry" piece......it's IMPORTANT. All great players can't necessarily play together. It's tricky. People should think of that more before saying who we should get/get rid of.

Them going their separate ways in my opinion would not benefit either JT or JB. Give it some years. They have the potential to grow into a dynamic, one of the best 1-2 punch combo (I feel they are already) and a contending team in the east every year. As a Celtics fan I could care less about the quick success. I’m in the for the long haul and want to see how they make this work. If they could get an all star level big man in the rotation in the next few years I feel they will be scary.
