People may forget how good Dipo was that breakout year in Indy. He was a legit All-Star and #1 option on a playoff team. An efficient 23 ppg scorer and a plus defender to boot. Shame that his injuries have reduced him to just being a role player but I'm happy to see he's still able to find a place in the league.

Tragic what happened to him. They had a good thing going on in the Pacers before the injury. I still remember that first round in the 2018 Playoffs where he pushed the Cavs to 7 games. LeBron had to drop 40 to win a game against them, Oladipo and the Pacers pushed him to the limit that series. He's still an amazing player though despite all that.

Victor oladipos one of my favorite players in the NBA to watch! How he thinks through the game instinctually and also has a mindful presence is super rare. Also his engine on the basketball court is a V12. It's not a surprise how articulate he is and how much of an alpha demeanor he presents. Nothing but good vibes your way Victor. As a Heat & Magic fan, I've always knew Oladpio was gonna be special! Also as a human being who's badly chronically Ill, i understand & relate to almost every statement he made...everything about the mental aspect of dealing with pain, high pain tolerance, the arduous recovery stages. This clip from the full podcast made me really appreciate him & the ability to speak freely about human struggles. To anyone dealing with health issues too or anything. You got this, we GOT this! Him also talking about being a person who was stoic & animated before his health issues. Then him getting really low & then becoming out of control, a lot of people can relate to that...

Had a bad knee injury as well, 10 months before returning to basketball, going through it once is "easy" You just aim to get back stronger than before and do all the rehab steps. Having it happen again and redoing everything , knowing you might have to do it a third time is a whooole other boss level mental beast. I told myself I will retire from bball if it happens a second time.

Man, those words hit deep, Victor. "I can't be that innocent, nice.. I can't be that guy anymore. you have to take full control of what you got going on." I was in that same exact place you were, my man. and came to the same exact conclusion. I stopped focusing on the things out of my control, and grabbed ahold of everything that was. And it took me to a whole nother level. Once there, whether the outcomes were good or bad, I could look in the mirror and see the man looking back, and be at peace. Much love to you. And to every young man reaching that point in life. As men, our word is our bond. Without it, we don't exist. We're not a man ppl, young boys in particular, can look up to and strive to be. Let's make this place better, one man at a time.
