I usually struggle with putting my signatures together; so, I go the easy way out and just use blank coffee stain papers and you easily demonstrated your method into how to use different paper to your signatures. That was a wonderful step by step guide on having to hand, pre-made ephemera, pages, book pages, pockets, fabric, lace etc to find a home once you've decided on a theme for your journal. A great tutorial. You my friend are the reason I make journals. You are a perfect teacher. You always have step by step instructions and coupled with your calming voice it gives those that are nervous to try the confidence to just jump in. Love the tip about cutting the folded up paper so it isn't so bulky at the center. I never had thought of that and my journals are a little bulky. Kathy

For making journals I have wax shoe thread from Daniel Green Slipper Factory (when it was in Dolgeville, NY) where I use to work (early 1990's), run it through scented wax then sew the journal. It would work with any kind of thread. Heavenly!
