JK Experience GOLD DUST: RUBICON TRAIL Jeep Wrangler Off Road Adventure NITTO JKX Part 2

Day 2 of the Nitto JK-Experience presented by KMC Wheels would start yet again in Carson City, Nevada but it would soon take us down to the south, through the Carson Valley and then up into the Sierra Nevada Mountains. While Mel did take us on a round about scenic route just to throw us off, it became pretty clear that the trail we were going to be running was none other than the world famous, Rubicon! In Part 2 of GOLD DUST, you'll get to see us putting our Jeep JK Wranglers to the test and work around a broken Steer Smarts Yeti drag link before camping out at Rubicon Springs. We hope you enjoy seeing Moby, PSC Motorsports, Synergy, Exodus Jeeps, Smokin Dave's BBQ, Casey Currie and all the other JK's doing what they were made to do.

Actually, Moby isn't a manual anymore. We changed the transmission to a 6L80 when we did the LS swap. But yes, she is a great driver. :)

At 19:25 time, it blew me away to see the Grey Nitto /EVO Jeep I purchased this year 2021! Wow so cool to see the history, to whoever sold it, thank you and it has a nice new home! I complimented by adding to the awesome build with new EVO PRO long arms, Falcon 3.3, Nemesis front inner fender liners, EVO Swing out carrier/ EVO corner armor, ARB Twin Air, and Clayton Skid plates. Great additions to this special Jeep! NICE start to a day! It's been back to Moab BTW and so much fun! Headed back to Moab in MAY 2022! Would love to add a pic! Wish we could do the Rubicon trail to one day!

Mel is always the one under a vehicle to get going or off the trail. To see him with one of his own broken and thinking in overdrive how to keep going....you can see the releaf when he heard about that part....Talk about scoring it big time in Mel's gold book...LOL You with the tools and the right parts just kept the whole group going. Sad it's the last JKX but then it's the new JLX and soon to be JTX.

LOL - this is true. The big white Jeep you see on the title screen was a manual before we swapped in a V8. Fortunately, my wife and I grew up wheeling manuals but it's still a challenge, especially when you're trying not to burn out the clutch.

The trail is different every year so you're never really running the same trail each time you do it. Also, we always make it into a camping trip and for that, it's always a good time :)
