Just got my pair of custom forefronts. 11.5 8E and you lowered the arch for me. Arch still feels a tad high for me. But i can wear them all day at work, the off the shelf pair i ordered first i couldn't wear for more than a few steps. I'm still breaking them in, the more i wear them the more i like them. I'm kind of debating if i'm breaking in the boots or their breaking me in. Oddly enough i was having some pain in my right knee which started to feel better after i started wearing them at work.

Watching and seeing how these boots are made is absolutely fascinating and I’m currently saving money to pay a pair of JK boots to live on the family tradition of loggers and that footwear. Absolutely amazing work of art and time put into these boots and would be great for lineman work. Keep the amazing work you guys do going.

Worth the money by far. I've been trying to buy EVERYTHING in this order: first locally then from Canada (not just packaged in), my home country, good luck on that!, then North America then South America. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE when it comes to clothes, shoes, socks even tools and appliances. Try it for a year, you get very sick of reading 'Made in China' or some other country with little to no laws regarding child labor or even equality in general. I don't mind buying from USA and South America except in S. America the gangs control so much. I'd gladly pay $100 extra esp hand made!

Why the steel shank and not a leather shank? See at 16:54.
@Fishbone889110 ай бұрын
If you look closely, you can see the steel shank under the think leather shank they covered it with. Their usual leather shanks aren't that flimsy of a material that he was holding.
@jkbootsusa10 ай бұрын
A metal shank is what the customer requested in his boot, likely for using gaffs to climb, but could be for a stiffer more ridged arch (some people prefer the feel). The shank is in his hand when glueing at 16:44 but our video doesn't show him sticking the metal down. You can kinda see it under second piece of thin leather. This is called a cover shank. Hopefully that clears up any of the confusion 👍
@JeffreyBoldt-d6d10 ай бұрын
Thanks. Yes, I can clearly see the metal shank in the video. I was just curious.@@jkbootsusa

I had not one problem with customer service at jK boots. Thi was a few year's ago. The are doing custom boots for all lifestyles to enjoy. Keep up the great work. I always enjoy the weth of knowledge the teach with the video's.

Every video is the same as the previous one and it is no longer enjoyable to watch. Why don't you make videos showing the quality of the leather types and other materials you use and how they are selected? Also, the durable boot models you produce are very limited and you are not innovative.
