Dogumentary TV that’s how Bruce taught his students.if your right handed and say your strongest punch and kicks are in the rear of your body,then you should be able to do the same with your power side weapons being your lead.he showed how by having your side in the lead it’s closer in which it makes it faster to land n helps make it more undetected by throwing or kicking your straight line attacks.he would stress that if you can knock out someone with your power weapons in the rear then you should be able too do so with them in the front (lead) end it quicker and with as much damage as possible.i strongly recommend get his Tao of jeet kune do book.it will have pretty much any or all questions about fighting and explains in great detail things like that definitely way better than I tried to explain it but that’s the reason why JKD training you’ll see pretty much everyone in the southpaw position.hope that helps your question.im not the best at explaining things I’m better at showing and explaining at the same time.anyway hope I helped a little
