Just coming upon your channel and your wife's channel now, I'm loving both! RockJock is actually a separate company from Currie, but it only had happened like a few weeks before you posted this video. My understanding is that splitting the company in two made the most sense as the third generation prepared to take over from John (who took RockJock) and Ray and Charlie (who kept Currie). I'm looking forward to catching up on more of your videos, cheers!

You both have good points. I would tend to agree with the aspect though that for crawling it is better to be completely disconnected. Problem is is that most of us crawl and then do a high-speed trail and then crawl again.

The ball joint threaded rod req & left thread I would make 2 rods not 1 rod. Allowing the two rods to work together but not straight line over top & bottom but offset 3/4" between ball joint connections. U will basically hve a empty bottom & empty top end of double threaded rod assemply. 2 rods working together but not straight over 1 another & 1/4-1/2 of built in flex + offset between bars. If 1 breaks u hve empty ends top & bottom or u could double link is running ski course,phat chance at track oval.

U need to make gear sway arm prt longer & hve 3 diff end holes to connect up adjustment & if u break it off at hole just use 1 or 2 nd hole. Your missing arm of triangle & bracket to frame that limits max travel b4 it went plumb & flipped over.

With the antirock, I no longer have to get out and disconnect and then have to figure out how to reconnect later down the trail. Ive seen some disconnects that the little ring used to pull the pin out will break and that pin gets stuck in there thus leaving you needing a new pin/ring/endlink (whatever you chose to do), unless you get pliers and yank it. On road, the stock front sway bar is nice over really bumpy, pothole covered roads, but i find the antirock is much smoother riding, especially when hitting speed bumps from an angle, going over the curb to enter a driveway (again, at an angle), and on uneven surfaces like little water drainages in parking lots and neighborhoods. I would recommend doing the front sway bar and keep the stock rear, considering how skinny the rear is and how easily it flexes already.

Curious to your experience with it... been planning out a 'new' build and some of the high clearance JL bumpers recommend replacing the sway bar to free up clearance from the rubi disconnect. Also I am lazy and hate disconnecting my sway bar every time I go out lol.
@spelwurdsrite3422
@spelwurdsrite3422 5 жыл бұрын
Were the same. Im lazy and dont want to get out to disconnect either so I just got one and its fantastic. I wouldnt worry about getting the rear since the stock rear swaybar is already skinny enough that it will pretty much hit full flex before a connected front will begin to flex in the slightest. Once the antirock is on, your handling will feel like driving an ice skate because the jeep likes to tip side to side while driving, although its so minimal, you barely notice it until you have to corner hard or hit something that bumps the jeep over at a good angle like a speed bump or curb or whatnot.

I have an issue; I plan to contact [them] Monday, but I have my RockJock Anti's installed, whet to Rausch yesterday, and lo and behold I have way lesser articulation than when I had the JKS Quicker disco's (taking them both off). The people I wheeled with also heard "binding" noises when I was on newbie Trail 11 🤷🏼‍♂️ There's no way I can do Blues and Blacks at this point. What could be wrong? @spelwurdsrite3422
@spelwurdsrite3422 5 жыл бұрын
its worth it with the TJ because you have two or three other holes drilled in the arm and you can move the end link to tighten up or loosen the overall ride quality. When an antirock is installed, its like driving an ice skate, imagine how the skate sits in one spot while the shoe (or body) tips side to side. This body roll really isnt that noticeable and if it does seem like too much, just tighten it up by moving the end link. The front sway bar from factory is really thick while the rear is quite thin so you can do like me and just get the front and call it a day.

try? wisk handle spring w/ nearly no flex or give or spring. Sring & loop on a wisk handle is strong,last a life time of use, & the flex comes from how many flex wires r inside & the diameter of the handle prt. Each wire like bike rim tire can b turned to lossen or tighten for great strength as a total unit. The wider the wisk of wires the more total movement u r allowing. It has to travel up & down tire & limit sway while not limiting on the margin toe in & toe out of camber in or camber out, & most of all tire has to roll still. An over sized wisk handle stronger connection /hung up loop. More & thicker wire gauge bike like spokes & normal bs threaded double rod w/tie rod ends & I think u will hve it. U may want wisk handle to spring streach just a bit unlike normal wisk. I think I just did away w/ball joint ends also. Need bike soke adjustable wide wisk instead. God the more u know the crazier it gets, asked then saw the wisk. JBM

So if I am looking at a new jeep, with this setup I don't need to buy the Rubicon...I could buy a less expensive model, right?
@JKGearandGadgets

The rubicon does have other great features other than the sway bar disconnect. Transfer case and axles are another big plus to the rubicon

Wait so you just installed these, but say “this is the best my Jeep has ever driven.” Then say we’ll do some tests coming up. Also curious, you buy these or are these guys a sponsor and hook you up. I DO appreciate your videos though, good looking jeeps.

Yeah it was noticeable right away. And no this was not sponsored or an endorsement. Whenever someone does sponsor the channel I say it in the videos

Since this is a jeep community i have a question. So i disconnected my front sway bar disconnects for the first time this weekend and now my alignments off, could that be from me disconnecting the sway bar? I have a jeep xj with a 4.5in rc lift
@JKGearandGadgets
@JKGearandGadgets 5 жыл бұрын
No, that is unrelated. You just need to adjust your draglink to center the steering wheel. It might be a good time to upgrade your steering

@@JKGearandGadgets I've been doing some research and cant find anything about my problem. but another question i have is if i adjust my drag link will that adjust my steering wheel and whether my jeep drives straight? because my steering wheel is tilted a couple degrees to the left and the vehicle pulls to the left and if it's a simple fix i dont see any point in taking it to the shop.

Andrew Holland yes it’s an easy fix to recently your steering wheel. But you need to make sure you didn’t bend your tie rod

Please, can you tell me if this AntiRock Kit works with Wrangler 2014 JKU with 2.5" ARB OME LIFT kit ? Do you think it is worth it for a low lift 2.5 ?
@4WDTrek
@4WDTrek 4 жыл бұрын
It will be close, but I have mine on a 3.5" lift and it isn't quite fully shortened. So I would think that a 2.5" lift would be capable of running this antirock

Why would Currie rename the AntiRock to RockJock ? RockJock sounds like a men’s jockstrap brand

Surely having no sway bars is better for off road, comp rigs don't use sway bars and having said wouldn't it be a better idea to develop after market front AND rear sway bar disconnect?
@JKGearandGadgets
@JKGearandGadgets 3 жыл бұрын
Surprisingly it’s not, most comp rigs have anti rock style sway bars as well
@targetoz5470
@targetoz5470 3 жыл бұрын
@@JKGearandGadgets is that because they drive to the comp sites? Why I ask is as you know the reaction and operation of a sway bar when the axle articulates it wants to drag the other side to match the lowest wheel which the picks up the rear or the front whichever is the lowest. I've seen your rig going off road am quite impressed so I'm assuming the sway bars are not very stiff?

I live in California Near ALL the trails and I run on granite everywhere. We have more trails than anyone and I NEVER have needed these or seen anyone who has. Sorry. Most the JEEP EXTRA stuff people don't need as long as they can drive. Small lift, little bit bigger tires and that's it. MUD, ROCK, RIVERS and SAND the rest is just fun extra stuff so don't think you need a lot to have a blast.

If you have never seen a rig with anti rocks out on the trails, then I’m not sure what to tell you.

But yes, like I’ve said in multiple videos. All you need is a 4wd vehicle, and gas. Go have fun, see what you need for trails that you want to run and go from there.

@@JKGearandGadgets I said I've never seen anyone NEED them, not I've never seen them. If you need them you are not driving on the right part of the trail well. I'm not attacking you, I am trying to let guys know they don't need all that so they can go have fun sooner. We weld things back together that snap and keep going but those don't snap and if they do it really doesn't matter. I haven't seen one fail yet. Not saying they don't, but most things fail eventually, it's just there are tons of other upgrades guys can put on that will actually make a difference. So it's another fluff product. I realize you have your video and this is your gig and you may have gotten some free parts or whatever. I get it and all the extra stuff is cool and fun. Tomorrow we'll mud bog in the valley and hit the rocks and snow after, enjoy the mud back there, but those jeeps are kind a pretty. Be well.
