We know you have 37" waiting to go on, but the 35's look great and maintain a civilized ride and maintain the stock look, which is awesome! You guys have the JK and LJ to do the hardcore wheeling..... You guys have probably wheeled the JT harder than most, and again a $53K Jeep you don't want to destroy. My guess is 90% of the Gladiators with 40's never see anything but asphalt! I can't believe how well the Gladiator did in the mud on those rocks... Impressive.. More impressive is Cassie! She makes these videos so awesome... PLEASE keep her included when you can.. Waiting for the review of the JL/JT Tazer! Well done guys...

My aging TJ has 35x12.5R15 tyres. It has a Skyjacker 4.5 inch suspension lift, Teraflex adjustable track bar, super thick teraflex adjustable tie rod and I had to install new rims to stop rubbing when making turns. However, I did not have enough money to get new rims with the proper offset. I bought hubcentric 2.5 inch spacers and stopped the rubbing on turns. Besides, I really like the vintage stock Canyon rims on my aging TJ. So, I really did not force the rims when the spacers are doing incredibly well. My aging TJ has been with me many years and I do not think I will ever part with her. I have installed everything completely by myself and even broke a thumb during the Skyjacker lift install. I learned the hard way with my YJ. Never depend on anybody helping you unless you pay a shop. So I bought the tools and installed everything myself. Though I will never part with my YJ nor my TJ, a nice Gladiator JT would make a great roomate for my ladies. I am also looking for a replacement JKU because my Sahara Unlimited JKU had to be sold due to financial difficulties. But now I am ready to find a JKU again. Then add a JT to the family.

Love the fact that you are both into it, together. Couples that Wheel together...slip together. Anyway, if you have not already, I would strongly suggest you air down to 18 psi (or less). You have a solid axle truck. So the only extra clearance you get is from the tires. Going from 33s to 35s gets you 1 inch more clearance under the differentials. Suspension lift gives you zero inches without increasing tire size. It will increase the body's clearance but not the axle which is the lowest point.
@JKGearandGadgets5 жыл бұрын
My issue last time we were out was high centering, not axle clearance. That’s why I said the extra suspension height helped (raising body and frame). Overall from the tires, and suspension, it helped the truck bottom out less.

Its kind of crazy to me how a 35 is now a beginner tire. A lot had to be done to my XJ to fit 33's! I am ready to go 35's but have a few more things to do to keep my flex and not rub. So many people have 37's and even 40's now.
@JKGearandGadgets5 жыл бұрын
yeah man its crazy. I remember back in the day, when i was first getting started. 31s were a nice tire to run, and 33s were big, 35s were for the serious guys, and the buggies were on 37s haha. Its crazy the changes that have happened in the offroad scene over the years, as well as the changes that modern jeeps have made to allow bigger tires. However, its also a drawback having a newbie out on the trail with 40s, it usually leads to a false sense of capability and puts them in situations they are not ready to handle. But then again, an XJ on 35s with lockers, can easily keep up with a JK or JL on 37s. Even with this truck on 37s or 40s, i could easily go more places with my LJ on 35s. You'll love your XJ on 35s, just make sure to beef up the areas that will need it!
