My first bike was an 09 Honda shadow ( I'm trading it in for a 21 Indian scout) I changed the exhaust due to not being heard on the bike at all.

I currently have a Triumph Street Triple 765R. I love it and will never get rid of it, BUT I am looking at possibly getting a second bike at the end of the year or spring of next year. I have test road a standard Triumph Bobber months ago. I love the look of the Indian Bobber but haven't been to a dealer yet (over an hour away). Seen multiple videos of people who have tricked theirs out. If I chose the Indian, comfort is important (I am now 55), so seat, Radical Radius exhaust the oxouk here on KZbin did or the Freedom Performance 2 into 1 Combat, a 180 rear tire, maybe mid controls. Soooo many things to choose from as you mentioned. Ride safe!

@@dadwithabike Currently riding a xsr700 (restricted version due to local licensing laws) and ride similar to you, love ripping up the twisties, commute a little and longer distances cruising (last weekend 200miles zoom about) so am looking at this bike to be my next step up. These Vance and Hines sound better than the new two brothers you put on. Take some advice from an old man.... don't run your oil 10k. 5k max even if your running full synthetic, 3k if it's not full synthetic. If you plan on keeping the bike your going to pay down the road if you run oil 10k miles.

The problem with the V&H was they were too high pitched - and didn't provide any real power increase. As for the oil change. As long as you stay with manufacturer recommendations regarding time and miles you'll be golden. Thanks for the input though

Was very serious in to investing in Indian bobber or scout till I found out no mileage I'd like to ride none of my buddies would want to stop every 100 miles per fuel sure hope Indian makes a bigger fuel tank

Doubt they will make a bigger tank. All of my buddies have baggers and they don't mind stopping. But then again we are on it for the journey

Not sure if the 2021 bobber seat is different, but I also had the Twisted Chopper Vaults installed before delivery and I don’t hate the ride quality. Change in OEM tires from whoever to Pirelli might also help.

Man. I'm a former v-rod owner. I loved that bike so much, but I sold it because its age was catching up with it, and I was in the market for a newer one when I caught a video of a scout dusting a v-rod at a drag strip. I was just like "what in the world?". Now I've gone down this rabbit hole... As fast or faster than the v-rod, lighter weight, handles better, actually has dealer support (I couldn't get ANYONE to do work on the v-rod, even Harley techs didn't seem to know jack shit about it), huge (and growing) after market support (including a big bore kit), WAY CHEAPER???? So for like 8000 dollars I could get me a slightly used Scout, get the big bore kit and have a lighter bike that generates more horsepower than my Night Rod did????????????? I'm heading up to do a test ride on a Scout later this week lol. Great video man. Got you a new sub whether I get the Scout or not. Can't have enough good motorcycle content!

I stumbled upon your channel looking for reviews on the Dean Speed sissy bar. Have you utilized it for packing much gear yet? Are you happy with the height you chose? What’re your thoughts on your crash bars? Do they sit too high to kick your feet out on them? Keep up the great content. I appreciate the reasoning behind your opinions. Take care

I love my Dean Speed sissy bar and actually used to to for my trip to Sturgis. I fit my clothes, tent, sleeping bag for a week's worth and it did just fine. I got the 18" but probably should have gotten then 20 or 22. As for the crash bars, I like them a lot and they have already saved my bike when a buddy of mine dropped it. As for using them as highway bars - I use them for a bit ONLY when I need to get my butt off the seat a bit more. They are too high to use all the time though.

First thing I'd change are the rear shocks. I'm actually looking at either a Scout Bobber or Fat Bob for my next bike and wanted to ask your opinion regarding the mile range per tank and your thoughts on it. Much appreciated.

So shocks are a must. Range wise, depends on my tune. If I'm aggressive I get about 100 miles til the fuel light comes on. If I'm just cruising I'll get 125 til it comes on. So about 40-50 mpg.

What type of bag is that you have behind your windscreen? If you had to choose between the Cafe Fairing and the Gauntlet, which one and why?

The bag is the handle bar bag from Burly Brand. Right now I have both the Cafe and Road Warrior - I sold the Gauntlet. The biggest issue I had with the Gauntlet was the weird buffeting it caused. I switch between the Cafe and Road Warrior often but my favorite of the two is the Road Warrior.

I've actually been eyeing scouts and scout bobbers for a while. I wanted something that was sporty, water cooled and that could move me int othe cruiser segment without making me hate it. I was coming over from sport bikes and knew if I jumped right into a bagger style bike I would hate it.

Yes it did. I did tier 1 tuner which let's me choose fuel efficiency or performance.

Do you have a video install for the Dean Speed crash bars? Is it mounted to the radiator, not a very stable part to support the weight of the bike, your thoughts?

I don't have and install video sadly. These do not mount to the radiator, they mount between the frame and the foot pegs. They also rest against the frame. These are very solid bars.

No I don't, it's pretty smooth up to about 90 mph. Vibration kicks in a bit after that ... but that is to be expected since cruiser tires are NORMALLY only rated to 120MPH
