I was gifted the JLA omnibus for Christmas and ordered the Tower of Babel deluxe edition from my LCS last week. I can't wait to jump into this run. Thanks for the review.

This, The Authority/Stormwatch, and Planetary made it one of my favorite times to be a comic reader. May not sound like a big deal but that’s about 50 years of reading weekly releases. As much as some people seem to complain about the 90s, for May, it was amazing storytelling mixed with fresh art…and gimmick covers. 😂 Thanks for sharing 😎

Grant Morrison and Howard Porter were an amazing team, putting out a run, about an amazing team.

Hey, Mike. While I'm not all that into superhero fare(w/a few exceptions), my brother had a bunch of this run collected in floppies(he hasn't bought a comic in probably a decade now, so that's why I say, "had," lol), & I read a few. It was pretty fun from what I remember. But I don't know the continuity- now or back then- to really be able to appreciate it, I think. But I thank you for this video, bro! I hope you guys & your families are doing well! I really enjoyed the time I was able to have to watch & comment during your last live stream video(that is the 1st time I've ever done that. I think that is what it's called- see, I'm not even sure what it's called, lol). Anyways, looking forward to your next video!😊👍🏻👍🏻❤️

I've not read JLA since Guy Gardner was in it. I think that must have been late 80s.

You mentioned something about your JLA custom binds. I found this video because I was interested in maybe getting the JLA by Morrison Omnibus, but now I'm thinking of doing 2 custom binds of JLA 1-60 so that I'll have Waid's issues too. I'm only missing 5 issues of the entire run. What are your thoughts on having Morrison & Waid's run in 2 easier to read HCs?

As someone who did that, I highly recommend it! Morrison and Waid had fantastic runs and I’m always a fan of avoiding massive hardcovers for the sake of a better reading experience

I know a lot of people love this, but frankly, I just found this a hot mess.

This was a run I literally couldn’t get into I find 90s DC Comics way to boring. The art was good in this run but just couldn’t get into the story’s idk.

I agree, but not the 90s statement, but this run, just was average as hell to me. I didn't care about the team tbh, all it made me do was like Kyle Rayner. Other than that I was like meh.

@@warrenweaver6664 Oh man, I like 90s DC soooo much better than 90s Marvel. Waid's Flash, Rucka's Batman and the whole No Man's Land event, Impulse, Pater David's Young Justice, Death of Superman. The list goes on and on. Marvel had, like, The Clone Saga, Onslaught, and Heroes Reborn. So pretty much unreadable for me.

@@mitch-TO I mean I love early 90s Marvel but DC Comics books like Byrnes Superman and stuff I found boring I mean I love Geoff Johns comic runs he has done but man his Flash was rough to get into I found it way to boring.
