Hi RC Teng, The same thing happened to me but it's my upper right back wheel. To this day I still don't know how that happened because I don't jump my car. I did manage to hit the pin back in place that was sticking out but I don't know how long it will last. Your videos are so great!!!!!!

hey buddy. I had my J3 speed in parts a few weeks ago. . you're right, don't be afraid to break things, these cars are really east to fix with a little patience . . now I'm pretty much a JLB master. Have you ever tried a Gyro in your cheetah? I'm thinking of getting that upgrade. I haven't even tried my J3 speed on 4s . . . i probably won't haha, 50 mph stock on 3s with 120amp esc is fuckin ridiculous . I don't need any more speed. Thanks for the video. I highly recommend it. I installed it on my 120a Cheetah as well. Makes your Cheetah easier to drive at higher speeds.

Good morning, how do you remove the wheel from the car, I find it very difficult?

Heat up the center of the axle and nut with a small torch. Be careful to not burn the wheel then loosen the wheel.

I can see your bumper is broken, which happened to me as well. 2 weeks in. But how do you replace it, as there seems to be a bit going into the bottom plate???

The flat plastic on the bumper goes in between the diff housing and chassis. You would have to remove the screws tha hold the diff housing to the chassis and lift the diff off the chassis to slide in the plastic part of the bumper. Then you put back on the screws and the bottom of the bumper is installed. Then, just do up the rest of the screws for the bumper on top. 👍🍻

The lights is connected to the front bumper, so remove the front bumper in order to get to the shock tower. Watch my how to replace front diff video. I show you how to remove the shock tower in that video.

Hi RC Teng, The tip of my antenna on my JLB Cheetah that is real loose came off but the car still run. Should I be concerned?

No it’s nothing. Mine got cut off about an inch cause it got caught in the center drive shaft. Still works, and still gets plenty of range.

When I try to drop test my cheetah, the back part slams on the floor. What did you do to prevent this?

You can add mor preloads to the spring by twisting the shock sleeve making it tighter but only down side it that it gets really bumpy with tight springs. Best way is to use thicker shock oil and then from there you can adjust the spring until it fits the road condition or dampening. I’m using 50 to 60wt shock oil for both my cheetahs.

@@ItsRCTeng I'm still using the stock oil on my jlb but I have already twisted the shocks to tightest but it still slams the floor. I'll try your suggested oil but I need to order it from banggood because we dont have any hobby store here in my city/country.

thanks for the video but how do get the wheel off!! I have 17mm nut off obviously. ive tried dish soap, heating up the wheel.... any ideas??

Try dropping it from a good height with the nut off. The shock of the fall might break loose the wheel from the hub. Don’t use heat, The plastic rim on the inside might melt onto the wheel axle as that part is metal. Hope that helps.

Try a spanner behind the wheel equal pressure both sides should force it off but not forcefully if u get what I mean

what kind of shocks can I buy to replace the vicar bison? I bought one with out shocks

It all depend on how you ride, if you want smooth or rough. Since you got the bison, I’m pretty sure your going to be bashing and doing a lot of off road stuff so I would recommend suspension set up for an off road 1/10 or even 1/8 scale trucks. The bison is very similar to the JLB Cheetah so you can get some JLB suspension which would be perfect for the bison. You can also go with the Maximus suspension which is a little softer then the cheetah and if you want to change the dampening of the shocks you can just simply change the shock oil to a thicker oil for more dampening or thinner oil for less dampening. Its all personal preference when it comes to your feel of the suspension in you truck. Hope this helps and thanks for the view. I just saw some listing on eBay for around $20 for a set of some good quality suspension. Just type in 1/10 scale rc suspension. That’s good enough for $20budget instead of $40 and up. 👍

You skipped the part of how to remove the wheel is not that easy.. so is not as useful as it could be missing that crucial part of the process .. the wheel i attached and doesnt come as it is portraited here..

Yeah so the hub that hold the wheel had 2 ball joint that connects to the upper and lower arm. I don’t keep it tight so that the hub can freely move when the arms are moving up and down. When it is tight or over tighten, the arm don’t fully move freely like it should. It stop at a certain point of travel. If you leave some play in it, it can fully move/travel like a suspension arm should do. 👍🤙

There are linkage that you can adjust for toe angle. For camber angles I adjust the ball joint in the hub where you put the wheels on.

If your wheel wiggle most likely your cvd drive axles are bent just like mines. Still fun tho the cheetah is a beast.

How do you remove the shock caps at the top of the shocks

It’s really hard to remove the shock cap. I used a vise grip pliers and a adjustable wrench to take it off.

RC stuff did it work? I think the factory over tighten the shock cap because mine took some strength to take it off also scratching the shock body with the wrench.

DO NOT BUY THIS RC CAR!!!! i brought one and it didnt last six days. I didnt bash it at all, just drove up and down the street, first the bevel gear worn down, then the rear diff, and more and more issues, not including the two to three weeks wait on the parts. . For the price you are better off buying a Arrma Granite, much better car and way more durable.

Wow looks like the seller shipped you a bad one in stock. I got mines shipped from Singapore, took only a week an half to arrived. it’s the most fun rc car I’ve experienced so far. Things will always break in any rc car. Haven’t herd too many people complaining about the JLB cheetah. Plus it’s already at an affordable price and you get what you pay for.

I bought a Cheetah 120amp and a J3speed. The Cheetah was well put together while the J3speed was constantly coming apart. Gotta suck it up sometimes, $300 for a crazy basher is worth it.
