I am a senior in high school and I have been counting down until graduation day! High school were the worst four years of my life. I made a few friends, who I no longer communicate with because they didn't have my best intentions at heart. I met my wonderful boyfriend of four years in 9th grade & he is my best friend. I made decent grades but I am ready for a new scenery. High school taught me to watch who you call your friends and worry about yourself rather than making everyone happy.

trust me it's the best for you.. my parents also had the same rule for me. but i didnt listen and dated whenever i wanted.. and trust me you just end up with nothing but a lot of heartbreak and distractions from the important things like family, friends, and school. i think i only know like TWO people who have been together since before 18... even if you think you are mature enough for a long term relationship, guys are not at that age, even if they think or say they are. treasure your youth :)

bad is to go where all people go just to be like most people are. I love to be at home on fridays and saturdays, all days, and i never cared and i never will about the others. Important is to do what you really want to do and feel happy.

wow this really helps..i have 2 years of highschool left(in uk u do 5 years) and i just moved to this new school...thats absolutely horrible...i cannot fit in,the people there are just so different..i hate everything about it.!! The teachers,the kids,the classes...i literally just wanna scream im so stressed every morning when my mum wakes me up!I just cant stand being two years in that school..hopefully I will get into this good school,ive been puton waiting list..but this advice is so helpful

I relate to you! I Went to four different high schools, I would make friends all the time but I was stuck at home too cuz my mom was strict lol I started going out the last months of my senior year. I don't have as many friends as the people that have lived here their whole life cuz they know people since elementary but the friends I have are enough. Wouldn't change them.

Hey! My highschool years weren't the best, except the last one... It was the best year I had in school in my whole life! But for the rest, I didn't try to fit in, didn't smoke, drink, go to parties, or whatever, I didn't have a boyfriend ('cause the boys at school were so stupid). I liked to study, and people didn't really like me (except for my friends). But I never was bullied, because they were afraid of me (Karate girl + bad temper = don't mess with me!). I hated high school. I was so happy to finish grade 12 and be out of that school. Now that I think about it, if I had the chance to go back in time and repeat those awful 4 years of high school, I wouldn't. I was not the popular girl, I didn't do drugs, smoked, party, I guess you could say I was boring, but I really wasn't, I just didn't want that kind of life and I didn't care about fitting in or not. I was glad for the friends that I had.That's it. And I was never pressured at all, yay me.

I just started High School/ Secondary School (thats what people in England call it, in case u dont know :D) And in break and lunch I'm so loud, and will just be myself, then I go into class, I'm sometimes random me, and sometimes reeeaaaallllyyyyy shy and quiet, but so far, I really love being there!!! :D

i think i was pretty lucky, because the middle school i went to last year shared the campus with the highschool im going to this year! (im a freshman!! :D) the middle school moved over the summer and the highschool campus got remodeled!! so all the classrooms are bigger and everything, and since i went to a middle school that was on the same campus as the highschool, i went into freshman year already knowing some of the sophomores, juniors, and seniors!!!

So the moral or code of conduct you should always go by in high school Is to NOT give a damn. Once you start caring what people think and say is when it will start to go downhill. Believe me I KNOW. And now I'm a senior and making sure this year goes by without too much crap as long as I follow that belief.

I was the same in high school. I never went to a party, didnt smoke, didnt drink. I lost a lot of friends too because they didnt respect that but obviously they werent real friends if thats why they didt like me anymore. Good advice about keeping your values!!
