What a hypocrite. Look at the countless trees that are taken down to build apartments, housing complex and these trees are not replaced. The apartments government, town houses and housing trust don't replace the trees that they remove. That needs attention and the minister of environment and agriculture should be address this massive problem.

Needs to clean all the Mains drain very Regularly I Notice in Jamaica the drains are in very bad condition all over the country as a cleaning company myself I don’t think the government and parish council are doing anything much about What is the point of economical room and prosperity if all the drains are blocked and not been cleaned in the long run it will not look and Smell like paradise

Other environmental concerns are the dumping of garbage in gullies and waterways. I travel the parish of St. James on a daily and the proliferation of garbage can be seen everywhere. Even along the route to the Retirement dump is a dump site itself. Yet Mr. Gordon doing beach cleanup in recent times as though he's doing a good job. Tek yuh rump's from out of the office and guh look how the place dutty wid garbage and put effective solid waste management in place

Very true, but I do not see anyone putting tickets to the population for throwing garbage anywhere, we are not educating people. Business owners must ensure that their facades are clean and in the same way the government must create mechanisms to fine and educate residents. That is development as well.

You can not allow extortion to run rampant in other parishes and not expect it to spread like cancer to the rest of Jamaica. These elected officials and the care takers of these parishes needs to walk the streets or have town hall meetings ,to hear the concerns of the citizens that they claim they are representing. People should not have to be protesting for simple basic needs for survival. Politicians only go into these communities when they are canvasing for votes to be elected or reelected. During slavery we had the white man to blame for our poor living conditions but now centuries later and numerous elections and Prime Ministers. Many of whom look like the people they were elected to lead,very little has changed.

I would like the government to step up and hold J P S accountable for not maintaining and cleaning the bushes and vines off the light post and wires It's a shame to see all these bushes hanging in front of my beautiful house. it makes the place look very dark even when our lights are on. Am talking about the parish of Hanover Haughton Court Lucea, yes we are paying thousands of dollars to J P S each month for in front of our homes to look like this???
