I would like to tell you of my experiences with the Broadway Limited Imports! I own 3 units of their Paragon 3! I have had to return 2 of the engines more than once should’ve had to! The first return cost $50.00 to cover the repairs! The next engine I had to return it twice at a cost of $99.00 to cover repairs! As with all of their repairs they have a 60 day warranty on its arrival at your home! The last one was covered under this warranty but it stopped running again so I contacted them to get it back to them for repair again! To my disappointment they claim they have no record of my previous repairs in this engine! Therefore they will not answer phone messages or text messages!!!! I talked with my local hobby shop and he tells that he has had a bad experience with them! I am now stuck with an engine that doesn’t work and grandchildren are deeply unhappy!

Same here 8340. Every BLI I own has failed. Much better options out their. I will never buy from them ever,

I believe NSRM painted UP844 in that color, it’s actually not faded. I’m not sure why they painted it that way but it’s just what they did.

You are correct it was painted in that color. Im pretty sure i asked them when i was there myself in 2022. I think they said it was an error in the paint but they just rolled with it instead of changing it.

Very competitive. ST has slightly more detailed trucks and ESU sound versus Paragon 4 plus ground lights but BLI has done a great job on these and come a long way. I like the subwoofer with rolling thunder.

@@jlwii2000 I think the BLI doesn't have the oval slots near the cut levers either...at least I could not see any! I have 2 ST DRGW GP30's they also have the walkway lights back on rear sides. What I also like about ST is they let you know if preorders are delayed/ontime etc. I have 2 loco's on preorder from Athearn was supposed to be Oct and Nov last year....one is now showing as March the other July!! Really bad service

Actually I believe the UP GP30 was originally painted with a very light gray as delivered. ScaleTrains also painted their UP 844 GP30 in a similar shade. It is not faded by the sun. I haven't been impressed with BLI's past diesel offerings. For example they offered the version of SP SD45 I've always wanted but a trusted fellow SP fan advised I pass and wait for ScaleTrains to do it. I wish for D&RGW GP30's from the first order but again, I'll wait for ScaleTrains.

You are way too young to be having vision problems. See an ophthalmologist.

I'm 40 and I have glasses the problem is the distance from where I am to the model is hard to judge while recording without blocking the view. I should probably do more voice over but I'm always crunched for time.

@@jlwii2000 I am 72 and I don't remember when I started wearing bifocals. I want to say 50. You could always where 2 sets of glasses like Ken Patterson.
